Cain’s continued success is his to lose at this point—IMHO.

As a Cain supporter, I agree. As such, he HAS to sharpen up the message management. He seems to have survived the boofs on abortion and GITMO, but that good fortune won't hold out forever. The cumulative effect of errors can cost him. Also, he's eventually going to have to get more specific on his foreign policy philosophies. The nightmare scenario is his badly blowing a debate question pertaining to a "what-if" scenario. He's going to have to get it right the first time. Through all that, it appears that his support is solidifying like Bachmann's and Perry's never did. The longer he stays on top, the more acceptable to the electorate is the idea he should go forward.

A moronic talking head in Denver this morning interpreted the poll this way: “Here is what I would take away from this poll; Romney’s support is unwavering and he has a hard core group of supporters backing him. This will bode well for him in the primaries.” Huh? This political “expert” did not even talk about Cain.

“IMHO...Cain is nothing but a spoiler”

Do you even know what a spoiler is?

Cain is a viable candidate right now and his support continues to grow. The only ones “spoiling” the conservative side of the equation are Bachman and Gingrich..Maybe Perry.

At this point in time the only thing stopping Cain for the nomination is himself and Gingrich.

>>I just noticed that also, among just the tea party respondents the numbers were even more devastating for Romney, it was Cain 32, Romney 18.

This means Cain is way ahead among the most motivated, involved, most-likely-to-vote group voting in the Republican primary.

I think it's very important for him to at least do well in this coming debate with Newt. He doesn't have to win, he just has to show he has a decent understanding of why conservative policies are right in all the important areas. A strong growing and free economy, a strong morality (social issues), and a strong foreign policy with America as leader of the free world. That's the Reagan three legged stool.

If he does that, he will continue rising in the polls, otherwise it will be a dog fight until the end, with the awful consequence of a possible Romney nomination.

Honest? Really? heh

And next week, the MSM will be touting the same refrain...as Herman climbs even higher in the polls.

What part of Rick Perry in FIFTH place - behind Ron Paul - do you not understand?

Perry is toast as the anti-Romney. It's going to be either Cain or Newt at this point, IMO.

A high percentage of republican voters do not especially like the other two poll leaders and Cain is the best of a horrible slate of candidates... a slate of candidates that our progressive leadership have shaped and coerced for us to choose from. Hard to decide when the choices are unpalatable... except for Cain... who is by no means a super candidate.

“Rove and Hume just yesterday assured us that Cain is crashing. Rove even specifically said that Cain had peaked between 10/6 and 10/10 and is now tanking in the polls.”

Rove has finally gone over the edge in his lala mind and Hume really thinks his name is Huma because he acts like a weiner.

I despise hume and rove... both are cut from the same whole cloth... rove is just a political wh0re selling himself to the highest bidder... hume... well I never though that he could be bought... but it certainly pains me that it appears that way.

The debate with Gingrich is going to be a Lincoln-Stephens format debate...in other words, friendly and expansive.

Cain, being a successful conservative radio talk show host, should perform well. And of course, Gingrich can talk for hours.

Good news, glad Mr. is taking a lead over Mitt in this latest AP polls.

By the way, does anybody know what’s behind the Newt & Cain willing to participate in the upcoming Lincoln-Douglas debate? I hope they won’t attack one another just so that other GOP candidates can benefit from this.

“1. His 9-9-9 plan. Michelle’s right. Let the Government get another foot in the TAX door, and we’re just going to have another tax that will never go away... while all of the taxes that have supposedly been “cut” WON’T be, or will creep back up. End result... even less of our money in our own pockets. NO THANKS.”

One thing to keep in mind is that while he imposes one tax, he gets rid of 5 other taxes. The payroll tax alone is a huge revenue stream that he is getting rid of - 15.3% of every individual. The best part is = he gets rid of five hidden taxes in favor of one visible tax.

And Bachmann was not being very honest in the debate - because she has long been a Fair Tax proponent which is 23% consumption tax. Cain’s 9% consumption tax is the bridge to the Fair Tax, the other two taxes go away in phase II of his plan (Fair Tax)

But Karl and Britt both said that Cain was done. That his gaffes were fatal and he would start faltering significantly in the polls. [/sarcasm]

Hehehe...guess that didn't ask the right people. So does that make their statements, "gaffes"?

Cain has made gaffes and mis-quotes and mis-statements. But most people trust him. They know he is not a "professional" polished politician. They also know that he has the country's best interests at heart and trust his record as a decision maker and problem solver in business to allow him to get in a position to put a team together to tackle the problems we face...and to do it from American interests, with a solidly all-American and traditional American fundamental principle base.

That's what they are all missing...and it is exactly what Obama and his ilk will overlook as well because in Obama's case he simply cannot concieve it or give it credence in any case because such a notion is alien to him.
