Gingrich Touts Experience Over Cain

Listen to Gingrich himself - video here:

The former House Speaker told a jam-packed Chick-fil-A here Friday that he considers the businessman, a fellow Georgia resident, a good friend. “But I think in terms of practical, deep understanding of America that we just operate in two different worlds, we’ve had two different career tracks,” said Gingrich

I was very disappointed when Newt Gingrich gave it up in 1998.

The 1994 sweep was his mind in its natural state.

As Rush has occasionally observed, in 1995 there was no Fox News nor internet.

We've observed serious lapses in principle, critical thinking, integrity:

Climate hoax.

Cooperation with Hillary Rodhamao on health care.

The very symbol of sitting with the Bad Witch of the Bay on Satan's Settee.

Leno's lightning round elicited "brilliant" as Herman's response to "Newt Gingrich"--

And the two will do something extraordinary on the 5th.

Newt gives half the picture in touting his campaign: the plus side.

The down side is his craving for the glow of approval, tenure as a Washingtonian.

I think Citizen Cain could do his two terms and, AS THE FOUNDERS ENVISIONED, return to the Real World.

President Cain will offer Newt Gingrich a position utilizing his abilities.

I wouldn't presume to speculate as to what that might be.

Cain has spoken fondly of the idea of Newt as VP:

"Who would you feel most comfortable going with to the White House as your number two?

Newt Gingrich. Despite some of the baggage that he has, he's the most knowledgable, the sharpest, and respected by all. But unfortunately you have some of the social conservatives out there who still want to go back to some of the disagreements that they had with him early on in his career. But in terms of someone who brings the greatest mind, of intellectual capital, history, knowledge and experience ... Now, electability is a different consideration."

In light of that amazing statement, the event of the 5th is the result of conversation and strategy, a plan going forward to bring the voters up to point of view of the candidate they have placed in the lead.

The choice of Mr Newt would be unpalatable to me.His personality doesn’t lend itself to playing second fiddle especially for someone he considers politically naive. His ego is WAY, WAY too big. A much better choice would be Paul Ryan.

Newt, I’m not looking to elect a professional politician president ever again.

=== *** ^^^

So you’d prefer a person with no experience? (tried that last time) Or one who is going to “debate” the great leader and can’t speak?

Look, our choices this time stink worse than last time, but Newt’s right, changing the course and getting us out of this Muslim/Socialist mess we are in is VERY HARD.

I frankly don’t care if Newt tortured kittens, if he can forge our way out starting on day one, I’m voting for him.

As a note, we can never, ever trust ANY president again. (lesson learned from the Bush years). We must always be vigilant and hold the leader’s feet to the fire, no matter who gets in.s

“Newty worked for this dude. I will have no problem voting for him but I worry about these left leaning ideals.”

I had forgotten about this. Rockefeller was another one who had a problem keeping it in his pants.

Newt is right about the necessity of political experience and expertise for digging out of this mess.

If, by some miracle, Herman Cain were elected President, he would be friendless within the bureaucracy and on the Hill. He would be paralyzed, indeed actively subverted, from Day One, until he was replaced by another communist in 2016, having accomplished nothing.

I think Newt has (finally) grown up. A Gingrich Presidency will also be immediately at war with the powers that be, but Newt knows their names and their addresses and will be ready to go to war on Day One, which is what we need.

Cain/Gingrich

That’s my ticket........

Newt would be like Dick Cheney, and out-argue every liberal everywhere whether they be in Congress or media.....great
attack dog.....great strategist....NOT a CEO type. Still a politician.......

Corporate politics is just as vile and insidious as Washington politics. Cain is well able to deal with it without becoming part of it.

No, Washington politics is very, very different.

PEOPLE are as vile and insidious in the corporate environment - that much is true.

But the size and scope of the permanent government is SO different than any corporation that its ability to overcome resistance or overt opposition is tremendous.

A rowboat and a battleship are the same in certain ways - but being an expert oarsman does not translate into being able to take a battleship into action.

That's what he says today, but that is not what he has done. Newt had his chance an blew it.

Newt is as much a political chameleon as any inside the beltway player you can name. Yes now he says this, but just a short time ago he was saying the opposite. What ever it thanks to get elected is what Newt will spout.

I have a new saying: "Whats the definition of political insanity? Voting in same inside the beltway players over and over again and expecting the game to change."

And all of their dirty little political secrets. There would be a lot of horse-trading going on. (You know, kind of like how Washington works now.)

If you took your car to a repair shop, and they screwed it up, would you give up on “professional repair shops” and take your car to your barber to get it fixed?

Attacks on “experienced pols” are what you get when your candidate has no experience. If Palin had entered the race, NOBODY would be saying we should vote for Cain instead because Palin had too much experience, even though she had been a politician, in public service, or informally running for President for close to 17 years.

And explain how Ronald Reagan, with 21 years of political experience, was such a problem?

If Cain had won his Georgia Senate race, we also wouldn’t be talking about how we needed an inexperienced candidate. His supporters would be touting his legislative accomplishments.

But since he has never implemented a conservative policy, has no legislative results, has no relevant executive experience, and sometimes shows a lack of understanding of what the President actually does, supporters are left with nothing more than to attack other candidates for having “experience”.

Imagine if the Texas Rangers announced that, because they had lost, they were firing all of their pitchers, and were holding open auditions for the positions for people who had never been in the major leagues (after all, look where those “experienced pitchers” got them!!!).
