I own a small farm in the middle of the country in an area that in part depends on melt water via the Platte so I can understand the issues revolving around government infrastructure and water rights fights.

Yep, there is a huge tension between “urban” minded and rural minded citizens.

A Nat Geo show on game wardens

I was a game warden in California for a bit and in Wisconsin. The really strange thing was that I found that game wardens in Wisconsin were really all about power and pushing people around without much concern for what they were accomplishing. They were an extremely inbred and strange organization. I came to trust police officers far more than game wardens, because game wardens had almost no oversight, really liked to write tickets for small infractions, and had a mentality that if they wrote a ticket to someone that technically did not deserve it, they were only making up for some other infraction that they had not caught.

Years later, I was told of a Game warden in California that I had known, that had (IMHO), abused his position. I was very glad to get out of that organization. It was the worst professional job that I have ever had.

The environmentalists have gone to court here in Oregon to put slugs and snails on the endangered species list, so they can completely shut down forest mgmt anywhere in the state.

The most productive Douglas Fir forests in the world lay in about four counties in southern Oregon. Since the spotted owl we have been living on a "hand out" from the feds to not cut our forests, 50 million for our county. The results 20% unemployment and another mill shutting down every year.

The county commissioners say in about 5 years all forest practice skills will be lost on the next generation. Our number one export? Our children!

It's the same everywhere. The election results maps prove it out nationwide.

I read this and started thinking it appears that people are being nudged toward urban areas as a result of environmental policies. Big Enviro is destroying their rural livelihood with red tape and reclamation. These rural California counties are the ones that elect the few Republicans in our state legislature. If it works in Cali...

No they were psychopaths who just liked to kill and kill and kill some more, and do some good drugs. I’m a hunter so don’t try and place me as a lib. The game wardens were doing their job and rather professionaly I might add. So tell me about your game taking habits, and tell me about your “rights” and “freedoms.”

So they cherry picked a few physcos and you think all of the people living in the northern counties of CA are like that. What a dork. The people in Northern CA are mostly people who believe in the constitution and most of them are not poachers and drug users. You will always have a few bad apples in any area this show most likely, like all left leaning TV, hunted until they found the dregs and then show cased them.

BTW, a**hat, I hunt and have hunted since I was 12. I am not a poacher or a drug user/dealer and I live in Northern CA, where most of the industry, logging in particular, and mining secondarily, has been wiped out by the feds regulations. People here are suffering due to an over abundance of government and idiots like you stand behind the feds and cheer and call the locals outlaws.

These young men in California were very professional, but what else could they be since it was recorded. I have never personally dealt with a bad warden, but such must exist. I have dealt with the usual poacher types who lament their freedoms and rights being restrained as if god loves them more than the others, which in my mind makes them childlike and retarded.

We have a game warden here that was like that in the past. Word has it a near death experience from a hunting rifle when he was in a remote area changed his attitude.

Au contraire. But the locals as you call them too often side with the lumpen turds like these internet picture posting psychopaths. And that is why you get rolled and rolled every damn time by the people most certainly not like me. The slug they showcased lived on a beautiful little ranch that he basically converted into a dungeon of death, there is no defending him. BTW I love my chainsaw and the reason why god put trees on Earth is for me to tend to them when needed.

Why we get rolled by these enviro lawyers who do nothing for the enviroment except make a living as a suited mafia is because we sit there like turds on the forest floor waiting for things to happen and then we can go on in our minds as the good guys protecting tradition. Well I say piss on being a reactionary it is high time we take intiative and take charge.

there was a plan to return the prairies from texas to canada

back to a “buffalo commons” —

without humans.
