Looks like Perry’s handling of this is what will hurt him...wouldn’t you agree? ;-)
What would Politico’s motivation be to expose their source? Maybe they think they can get a two for one and eliminate both Cain and Perry with one story?
We still do not know if Perry had anything to do with this. It could be Wilson acted on his own.

I’m scratching Cain off of my list for diversionary tactics and finger-pointing when he should be dealing with these ridiculous (I hope) accusations in a more grown-up manner.
Wilson denies being the politico source.
He merely came out after the fact and confirmed that he witnessed sexual harassment on Cains part.
Then Cain accused Curt Anderson as the source.
There are a lot of people who seem overly invested in Cain.
If Wilson is the source why did Cain accuse Anderson? and how does that reflect on Cains judgement?
Confirmed: Air comes out of a leaky tire.

What we have here is an attempt by the “professional Establishment POLs” to reassert themselves as our masters.
Am I a Cain supporter? No, but I would vote for him if he were nominated.
Would I vote for Rick Perry if he got the nomination? Yes, but I would prefer he remain Governor of Texas.
Would I do the same for Mitt Romney, NO. Not under any circumstances.
