I love how you point out that the media created the image that the entire field of republican candidates is horrible, then agree with the media! lol!

If anyone talks, they will say something that can be taken out of context. If anyone says anything on camera, you can find a segment where they look like an idiot or foolish.

Get back to the issues, forget the media crap and choose the best candidate for you.

I’ve grown to like both Perry and Cain these past months and shocked to see it how it has grown so ugly so fast! And Cain’s accusation will either sink him (if it’s false) or sink Perry (if it’s true).

I’m betting on Perry as Cain has been recently unpredictable in his words and actions. I know that Cain isn’t a “politician” but Perry isn’t stupid and he wouldn’t let his staff throw such an easily traceable political grenade at Cain’s campaign!

The faster this is over, the better, as we can move on and re-focus on selecting the right person to defeat the Zero. We will be one down, but stronger and one less surprise to jump at us during the general election.

That's it brother (or sister), don't let them distract us from our task: DEFEAT OBAMA and save America.

I don't "tweet" so I'm sorry not to get back to you sooner but I had to locate this "AZ State Coordinator" and THE "tweet" that you say was about this "smear."

Now, unless you know more than I do, this is your "evidence," [Oct 31 (Post #9) y af_vet_rr posted a photo of a tweet]

I went to see who she's (slmbolick) on a tweet with (victoria_29) and found an exchange between victoria_29 and "RB Jazzy" where Bolick was *pinged*

**************************

victoria_29 @ @RBJazzy Hon Facts are NOT slime....Cain is slimy you're just too damn lazy to research or maybe just too RINO@PROUDofTEXAS @slmbolick

*************************************************

victoria_29 goes on to exchange with RBJazzy Cain's flip-flops, pro-live and 2nd Amendment issues, along with his support of Pro-Choice Dems over GOP in Nebraska -- then let's RBJazzy know that talking about someone's record isn't an attack. This was a segment of exchanges in a longer list of tweets about an awful baseball game victoria_29 was watching and tweeting about.

Now I'm sure you'd like to make it that the AZ coordinator was talking about Cain's latest problems but it appears that only his previous "misstatements" and positions were being debated with the expectation more would come out when Bolick tweeted: "This is the same thing I’m hearing in AZ! Wait until they actually do the oppo on @THEHermanCain. It’s not pretty."

Nice ham sandwich you Cain supporters are trying to whip up.

Well, if he has a smoking gun from the Perry camp, it might end up being the end of Perry.

If he doesn’t, then you’re right. The accusation does him no good.

I agree with you about her... I have no "problem with her"... AND you show me anywhere in my post where anything that I said could be construed as nasty. What I said was that she may not be an official Perry employee... but she does a yeoman's job of working for Perry every day on FR... and that is the truth... and that is in no way a nasty remark. I will just have to beg to differ with your opinion... oh and BTW... I am not part of any gang called “you guys”. I am a Conservative American, a Christian and a member of the Freeper family.

Did Rick Perry know about the right of return? Probably not

Rick Perry has been involved with Israel for 20 years.

One of Rick Perry’s first acts after being elected agriculture commissioner in 1991 was to create the Texas-Israel Exchange, which promoted information and research sharing.

Gov. Perry Received Defender of Jerusalem Award Thursday, August 13, 2009

****** Aug 2009: Texas gov. compares Gaza to Mexico”……Perry also recalled the Texas-Israel Exchange - a body that supports the trade of agricultural know-how between Texan and Israeli scientists - which he established in 1991, while serving as the Texas Agriculture Commissioner.

"We have a connection that goes back many years," he said. "And Israel has a lot that we can learn from, especially in the areas of water conservation and semi-arid land - Israeli technology has helped us a lot in dealing with drought."

"But also," the governor continued, "when I was here for the first time some 18 years ago and I was touring the country, the comparison between Masada and the Alamo was not lost on me. I mean, we're talking about two groups of people who were willing to give up their lives for freedom and liberty." Beyond the comparisons, Gov. Perry said another point of his trip here was to show other people "what was really going on", with regards to the military threats facing the country, and in particular the IDF's recent Operation Cast Lead in the Gaza Strip.

"We went to the border with Gaza and received a briefing from the army there, and we went to Sderot and saw the police station with all the Kassam rockets piled up, we saw playgrounds that had to be covered from rocket fire. It's a powerful place." In that vein, the governor said he was also interested in learning more about security aspects while in the country, as Texas has a large, porous border with Mexico, and the recent violence in that country had unnerved many Texans.

"Israel is a leader in security technology, and another reason for our visit to the Gaza border was to see some of the security measures being used there," said Perry.

"Kassam rockets have killed 28 Israelis over the last eight years. Well, 1,000 people have been killed in Juarez [Mexico, on the border with El Paso , Texas] since the beginning of the year [in drug-related violence]. So we're trying to find ways to secure that border, because just like it's important to Israelis to keep heavy security on their border with Gaza, it's important to citizens of Texas to keep out the illegal activities that are going on with drugs [in Mexico]……”.

****************************

June 29, 2011: ....Perry wrote in a letter dated Wednesday, “According to numerous recent media reports, American citizens and organizations, together with a coalition of violent anti-Israeli organizations from other countries, have organized efforts to breach Israel’s Maritime blockade of the Gaza Strip as early as this week.”

He continued, “The act of funding, supporting, organizing and engaging in these efforts appears to constitute participation in a naval expedition against a people with whom the United States is at peace,” as well as material support or resources to a foreign terrorist organization and other violations.

Perry said at least two of the ships are registered in Delaware, including one named “The Audacity of Hope,” which was the title of President Barack Obama’s second book.

The letter concludes, “I respectfully request that the U.S. Department of Justice take immediate steps to investigate, enjoin and bring to justice all parties found to be in violation of U.S. law by their participation in these efforts.” Source

August 24, 2011: How Rick Perry helped stop the Gaza 'freedom flotillas' ….>>>>"I once spoke at a mission that Perry took part in, in Israel," Darshan-Leitner recently told Commentary's Alana Goodman. "And he approached me and said, 'I love what you do. It's amazing what you do. If you ever need help combating Israel's enemies, I'm here to assist.' "

Perry made good on that promise in July, when a cohort of liberal activists boarded a Gaza-bound aid boat with the goal of breaching Israel's maritime blockade of the Gaza strip.<<<…………

Sept 20, 2011: Rick Perry’s speech reaches out to pro-Israel Jews, Christian Zionists “The complicated political situation in the Mideast Gov. Rick Perry addressed this morning takes on unshakable spiritual significance for pro-Israel Jews who believe that positions against the Jewish nation equate to opposing the Jewish people.

Days before the United Nations is expected to vote on Palestinian statehood, Perry’s pro-Israel remarks side him with this group of Jews as well as pro-Israel conservative Christians. Christian Zionist supporters include San Antonio megachurch pastor John Hagee, who spoke on the biblical significance of Israel during Perry’s prayer rally.

Perry did not speak in religious terms, however, at the event in New York, where he was joined by Israeli politician Danny Danon and American Orthodox rabbi Pesach Lerner, as well as other Jewish leaders.

President Barack Obama’s criticized stance on Israel may be enough to drive the Jewish electorate away from the left in the coming election, political scientists predict, but some Jewish leaders say it’s too early to tell.”….

Then I profoundly apologize to you. I guess I’m becoming over sensitive. I watch these threads turn into Freeper bashing threads and that really bothers me. This is a primary and we’re supposed to be vetting candidates not bashing each other.

When Cain accused Perry, which is a very stupid thing to do if he does not have real evidence...I got a very bad sinking sensation.

Who profits most from accusing Perry?

Romney.

I keep getting this unhappy idea that Cain is running for Romney's veep...

I think much the same as you... Cain has seemed to me to be the only real Conservative left running... the truth is that what we are left with for a slate of candidates are the most flawed, most unqualified group of people to represent the republican party in my lifetime... and that is truly saying something.

The reason that we have such a weak and flawed group is that republicans NEVER will fight back against the left’s “politics of personal destruction”. Good qualified Patriots will not put themselves and their families through what Cain is going through today and worse. That is why and how the republican party has allowed the left to destroy our once great republic... that and our leadership are aligned with the dim leadership and they hate us as much if not more than the dims do. Some FReepers are so blind... they still think the republican party is not corrupt and evil... but it is what the leadership is... and that is clear for anyone willing to open their eyes. We need to purge ALL incumbents or things will NEVER change... they will only continue to deteriorate. I know that I am correct because the likes of Rush are saying the same things that I am saying. It is clear for those who wish to see.

Perry is now surrounding himself with GOP elites ... with ties to Rove.

Rick Perry Relaunches 2012 Campaign
Perry brings in some national talent and hopes to show he’s serious about policy

By Alex M. Parker

October 26, 2011

EXCERPT

Perry’s new team includes battle-hardened veterans of national political races, to complement his inner circle of Texas strategists. It includes Joe Allbaugh, a political consultant who helped George W. Bush win the Texas governorship and the presidency, and who also worked on former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s 2008 presidential campaign. Perry also hired Curt Anderson, a former White House and Republican National Committee staffer who, ironically enough, worked for Romney’s campaign during the 2008 GOP primary. Also coming in is Stanton Anderson, senior counsel to the Chamber of Commerce and a former staffer for Ronald Reagan’s 1980 campaign, along with four other national political pros. The hires may belie Perry’s claim to be an anti-Washington outsider, but they’ll help him win some GOP elites and donors who worry that Perry is all bluster and no specifics. “The new hires this week show he’s making a serious commitment to policy,” says Steven Duffield, a Republican strategist and former RNC staffer. They’ll also help him run a national campaign, which Perry is learning can be quite different from running for a state-wide office in Texas.

http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2011/10/can-rick-perry-pivot-the-note/

PERRY’S NEW GUARD. Texas Governor Rick Perry brought in some reinforcements Monday for his struggling campaign, adding a slew of senior advisors and media strategists to his team. Joe Allbaugh, who ran George W. Bush’s 2000 presidential campaign and served as director of FEMA, joins the team as a senior advisor, along with Fred Maas, who has worked with John McCain and Bob Dole. Nelson Warfield, Jim Innocenzi and Curt Anderson, who have worked on political ads in previous campaigns, are joining the campaign to help on the media side. Warfield most recently worked on Fred Thompson’s 2008 campaign and Bob Dole’s 1996 run. Anderson worked for Mitt Romney in 2008, George W. Bush and Dick Cheney in 2000, and Steve Forbes in 1996. Anderson also co-wrote a book with Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, who endorsed Perry last month. Tony Fabrizio, a well-known Republican pollster who worked on Dole’s 1996 campaign joins the team as well. Anderson, Fabrizio and Warfield are veterans of Florida Gov. Rick Scott’s campaign. Stanton Anderson will serve as a congressional liaison for the Perry camp. “Perry knows that to be successful he needs to bring more people in,” Republican strategist Keith Appell told ABC News. “He has a very good campaign team nucleus but he now needs to become the comeback kid, of sorts. To do that, it helps to bring in battle tested people. ”

Perry vs. Rove: How Their Feud Got Started
By Alex Roarty

Sep 20 2011

EXCERPTS

People on both sides of the Perry-Rove dispute describe a complicated relationship that, although strained in the past by personal enmity and hard-nosed politics, could be headed for a détente as Perry’s presidential campaign gains traction. That would benefit both men because their rift has potentially serious political implications, pitting a front-runner for the Republican nomination against the cofounder of an independent expenditure group that’s expected to provide critical financial muscle for the 2012 campaign. Rove’s role in American Crossroads, expected to raise more than $100 million in the campaign cycle, makes him an influential gateway to the donor community Perry must tap as he tries to expand his fundraising base.

(snip)

The genesis of Rove and Perry’s rivalry is a well-known story, although the details are still disputed. Rove can lay claim to launching Perry’s career: He and a cadre of others, including Perry’s longtime media consultant David Weeks, persuaded the then-Democratic state lawmaker to run as a Republican for agriculture commissioner in 1990. Rove even helped manage Perry’s campaign.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/politics/campaigns/wh2000/stories/teambush072399_fulltext.htm

Team Bush: The Iron Triangle

The three – Karl Rove, Joe Allbaugh and Karen Hughes – have formed Bush’s political inner circle since he first ran for governor in 1994. Known as the “Iron Triangle,” their control over the campaign is near absolute – as others are learning. Last week, for instance, Washington veteran and campaign spokesman David Beckwith was forced to resign over differences with the Bush team.

Rove is the campaign’s chief strategist, Allbaugh the campaign manager and Hughes the communications director. But Allbaugh has a more colorful description. He calls them: “the brain, the brawn and the bite.”

Did you know that the Bush-Rove-GOP-establishment machine in Texas is giving to Romney 9 to 1 (Perry)? They tried to take Perry out in the last primary.

Gov. Perry is a conservative and your dismissal of him is completely irrational.
