Sarah Palin Calls Cain Hit-Piece Article JournoList Martin a "Punk" on Beck Show (Rewind)
Glenn Beck Show Oct. 2010 via YouTube ^ | 31 October 2011 | AmericanInTokyo

Posted on 10/31/2011 12:15:11 AM PDT by AmericanInTokyo

This guy--who slammed Herman Cain yesterday--tried to get Sarah Palin, too. She called him a "punk" on Glenn Beck's Radio show nearly one full year ago. @ 00:48, and further exposes Politico's method of hatchet jobs and then not retracting nor accepting responsibility afterwards when proven WRONG.

PALIN CLIP HERE ON JONATHAN MARTIN.

Furthermore, this Jonathan Martin (Politico) individual, we have come to find out was:

a) Almost nominated to be in the top 10 of a list of worst liberal journalists in the United States. Helen Thomas went on to claim the top spot.

b) Was exposed as member of the nefarious, underground "JournoList" group of biased, leftist journalists discussing and strategizing how to get Obama elected.

c) Attacked Sarah Palin (as per the link, above), and talk show host Mark Levin also demanded a retraction from this Jonathan Martin individual for unethical journalistic practices.

Cain supporters have been warned for a while that something was coming from the Perry camp.

Nobody should be surprised at what's coming out against any republican candidate during this primary time,.... and the candidates certainly have to be prepared this is definitely going to happen...character assassination and all.

Obama and the Democrats made it clear they would be pulling out all stops this election year and it would include during the primary. They have no concerns how it will make them look as they are all about winning at any cost, further they will appoint fall guys to take the heat if push comes to shove.

We have a President current who has made it clear it is Him against the Congress ...who are “the peoples” elected officials.... such as they are....so he has basically raised his fist against the people. He is leading the charge against any candidate...and as much all the chaos we see on the streets. Despicable man!

Sooooo, our candidates have to be strong and maintain their focus and not get caught up in the nonsense....

If our candidates cannot stand the heat of this Primary they will never withstand the force of the Obama machine in the election....

I found this just now, in the dead of the night US time. It is still up there on twitter for a Perry supporter. A rather nasty little shop of horrors if you ask me. Everything there is somewhat juvenile, swear words, bad mouthing of other GOP candidates, not my kind of people on that thread for sure:

slmbolickShawnna L.M. Bolick @ @victoria_29 @proudoftexas this is the same thing I am hearing in AZ! Wait til they actually do the oppo on @THEHermanCain. It's not pretty. 28 Oct

OK Ms. Perry supporter, who is the "THEY" of "they actually do the smear oppo" on Herman Cain?? Politico? Jonathan Martin? How did you know? How did "victoria_29" hear? What did you know? When did you know it, Ms. Bolick? Where can this be traced back? To whose doorstep? Sheesh, don't these people practice good opsec? What a bunch of amateurs, loose lips sink ships. PS This person who posted has run for local office in Arizona, seems connected in party circles, some other conservative/social organizations, a definite activist, one assumes in the Perry Campaign in that state, I dont know in what capacity but perhaps enough of a position to be "in the know" of advance things like this. They had foreknowledge of some kind of bomblet, that is for sure. I think you can "origin" this thing back to its source with some good sleuthing, IMHO.

Perry Arizona State Coordinator Shawnna L.M. Bolick (Oct. 2011) President and founder (April 2011) of Arizonans for Government Efficiency. Candidate for Arizona House of Representatives in Aug. 2010 primary. Consultant to various organizations including Booz Allen and Hamilton, Legislative Education Action Drive, Alliance for School Choice, Rose Law Group, Goldwater Institute and the Arizona Charter School Association. Research assistant, then committee clerk (high tech commission) in the Office of Lt. Gov Rick Perry, 1999-2000. Research assistant at the Heritage Foundation, 1999. Staff assistant to Sen. Rick Santorum, 1998-99. Graduate degree in public policy from American University, 1999; B.A. in policy studies from Syracuse University, 1997. Grew up in suburbs of Pittsburgh.

For what its worth. Somebody else carry the sleuthing torch for awhile....

These people should crawl back into the journalistic fetid sewers from whence they came.

That is exactly what they are, the sewer rats of journalism.

OK, did the “opposition research” have its genesis within one of the current GOP primary candidate camps, who then did the deal with the devil and got ultra liberal, muckracking Politico involved? Or was this something reverse engineered, ie. Politico was stirring up on its own, and in the process, somebody in one of the GOP primary candidate camps picked it up by hearsay and started to talk open mic (now that we have a paper trail of it on twitter pre-facto)? Or helped stoke the fire? Something stinks here, I don’t like it. Something is realllllly fishy here.

"Something stinks here, I don’t like it. Something is realllllly fishy here."

Remember when the scandal came out right before the 2008 election about the possible gay love affair of Obama and the subsequent murder of another gay man at Obama’s church....all swept under the rug by the media? Anyone who still thinks this is a “free” country with "free" elections after all of that is out of their ever loving mind.

The fascist powers that be..do not want Cain to see the light of day in this election. Just like they didn’t want Palin to survive and launched an unprecedented attack, they will savage Cain in all the media with unusual brutality in any way possible. I won’t be surprised at how vicious they will become. Cain is a threat to the ruling class Republicrat dictatorship. There will be no covering for Cain like there was for Obama..mark my words.

Johnathon, is that you lurking here trying to cause more trouble?/sarc

Lie #1. Cain reacted as though Perry was a racist. When asked about his reaction to the story, before Perry submitted a statement, he said the word was insensitive and that was it. When he was informed of the entire story he said that he did not consider Perry a racist and commended the family for covering it with paint. End of story for him.

Lie #2. No one here defended Perry or accused anyone of bad journalism. I know I and almost everyone here was all over this from the moment it started. Only the troll lurkers tried to make something of it here and they were quickly impugned. It was later found that several of them were Romney supporters. Arrogance is a funny thing.

Truth #1. There were people here who were happy to see Perry attacked. Acknowledged as stated in lie #2.

Lie #3 No one has been happy about the Cain situation. The same sick people noted in Lie #2 have already made their presence along with some Perry supporters I have challenged, mylife, for example whose fangs came out late last night.

Truth #2. Maybe we should just see how this terrible leak plays out. To accept this was a leak is to assume it is factually true. Because one of the accusers had to pay for Cain's legal fees, consider what accuser does that in acceptance of a severance for a valid claim? NONE!

I know I can go back and find hundreds, if not thousands, of examples to counter your claims of how the rock situation was handled here. I distinctly remember the overall tone on this forum was of indignation that someone had tried to smear the then leader Perry with a hatchet job and we were proven correct.

So maybe, just maybe, do you think you acted in haste to make your false claims as the Romneybots did in your favorite's political hatchet job? Does that make you any better than them?

Whenever Team Romney had rumors they wanted to start about other candidates,
Jonathan Martin has been their go-to guy to get those rumors in writing in front of a national audience.

“And The Most Irresponsible Journalist Award Goes to The Politico’s Jonathan Martin!
So tell me, how do you write a “news” story about an organization paying for a speaker when you don’t even know if the organization is paying for the speaker?
Ask “journalist” Jonathan Martin. He knows all about it.
You see, Jonny wrote a piss poor story the other day about how the Iowa Family Policy Center will be paying a large speaker fee if Sarah Palin comes to Iowa to keynote the IFPC’s fall funderaiser.
The only problem is that Jonny has no sources confirming that any exorbitant fee is being charged or paid.
Jonny also got some inside info from David Kochel, who was a top aide to former (and future) presidential candidate, Mitt Romney.
Hey Dave, didn’t I just read a story about how Mitt Romney tried to buy off the Iowa Christian Alliance?
I heard you helped facilitate that little scheme. And somehow you are shocked at the thought of a well-known political figure (who very likely isn’t running for president) getting paid a speaker’s fee for (gasp) a public speaking appearance? ..
and then we’ve got Tim Albrecht quoted. He was the Iowa spokesman for Romney’s 2008 caucus campaign.”
And it always seemed like, whenever the Romney people had rumors they wanted to start about other candidates,
Jonny was their go-to guy to get those rumors in writing in front of a national audience.

"Who's the Palin Leaker from the McCain Campaign?
National Review Online The publication of a Vanity Fair profile of Sarah Palin
appears to have opened old wounds in the McCain campaign.
... the source of the “Diva” leak was Nicolle Wallace’s husband."

Who benefits most from Sanford meltdown? Californian (that's right) Mitt Romney

"Someone's got to say it: IS MITT ROMNEY RESPONSIBLE FOR OBAMA'S VICTORY?"

"Vanity: Team Romney Sabotaged Palin and Continuing to Do So?"

"Romney Supporters Trashing Palin"

"Romney advisors sniping at Palin?"

That is absurd, plenty of non-Perry-supporters defended him on the rock nonsense.

It wasn’t the rock that made conservatives not support Perry. It was his questionable stances on border issues and his inability to debate such that even Obama would win against him.

I have issues with Cain, but it has NOTHING to do with this stupid story, which is likely fiction. My problem is that Cain gives more than one side on issues. He is both pro-life and pro-choice--he has said so.

He is solidly for Second Amendment rights but yet thinks states have the right to limit those rights.

Cain was for TARP and he was opposed to TARP, who which Herman Cain are we getting? Cain has no record.

It just solidifies Cain as the only true conservative running. Clarence Thomas got the same treatment. Did Cain also leave a pubic hair on a coke can? **** the left... then jail their a$$eS.

Who set up the story or sent it to Politico? Who benefits most from the story? If this was a Dem. operation, why was it let out 14 months before the elections, not 2-3 weeks before the elections.

I almost hate to say it but the first people that come to mind are Romney and Rove.

The Obama machine is behind many of the attacks on Republican candidates now, both on here and on the other social media. They try to make it look like other Republican candidates are doing the attacking. Do not believe that unless you have verifiable proof.

Just what is it about the 10th amendment that you are just unwilling to accept? Cain’s comments on the 2nd and the “choice” issues you raised are based solely in state’s rights under the 10th. He did not say they were correct in attempting to do so, he just said they had the right to attempt it.

I can post, too: http://theiowarepublican.com/2011/do-we-really-know-who-herman-cain-is/

I see very little difference between Romney and Cain—they both talk out of both sides of their mouths. The difference is Romney has a record and Cain does not.

Karl Rove Says Cain’s Finished, Zogby Says He ‘Trounces’ Romney Head-to-Head

When Gov. Sarah Palin was deciding whether or not to get into the presidential race, Karl Rove was popping up on Fox News to talk about why her skin was too thin for the job. And when Gov. Rick Perry was thinking about his entrance into the race, Rove was Johnny-on-the-spot with reasons why a Perry candidacy would not be viable either. Now Rove’s moved on to Herman Cain, whose candidacy he’s doing all he can to sink, sidetrack, or otherwise derail.
