Charges against Cain Cannot Be Ignored [American Thinker]
American Thinker ^ | November 03, 2011 | Dean Stephens

Herman Cain supporters have accepted his narrative that he is an American success story. The question is, just how much of that "success" did he earn on his own? And is it really the Horatio Alger story we are led to believe?

During the late '70s and the '80s, Herman Cain was an employee of big consumer product corporations, starting with Coca Cola. He was not an entrepreneur. He didn't take any risks with his own capital. Cain went from an entry-level analyst position to top management in one decade. He was made what would normally be called a regional manager by Burger King. He was then made manager of a small subsidiary by Pillsbury. It is distasteful to ask, but would Cain's rocket to the top have happened without the special treatment and considerations given him as a result of affirmative action? Many conservatives are convinced that Barack Obama's rise was fueled by racial preferences, so they cannot blink in the face of the same possibility working in Herman Cain's favor.

Affirmative action had recently become the law of the land. Big corporations were under pressure to prove they were complying. True conservatives have never accepted the premise of affirmative action -- that you can reach equality by suppressing the rights of others by government edict. Yet Herman Cain defended affirmative action in debates and on his campaign website in his 2004 campaign for senator.

I guess no candidate is perfect. But I will stack up these questions about Cain against Romney and Perry and day of the week and Cain comes out ahead.

Don’t recall the exact date the deal was closed. Late 80s or early 90s.

His group bought Godfather’s from Pillsbury in a leveraged buyout.

I, for one, would like to comprehend all this enthusiasm for Herman Cain.

Is it that he’s really a capable guy, or is it just that he’s the leader in a weak field?

I just don’t see it.

Godfather's was founded in Omaha, Nebraska, in 1973.[2] In the early 1970's, William Theisen owned a beer parlor named Wild Willie's, next to a pizza restaurant named Godfather. Theisen bought out the pizza parlor and the name in 1974 and sold his first franchise.[3] Theisen sold the company to Pillsbury in the mid-1980s and stepped down from actively managing the company. In 1986, Pillsbury named Herman Cain, CEO and President of the brand. Cain in turn led a group to purchase the Godfather's brand from Pillsbury, which they did by the beginning of 1990 in a deal reported to be $100 million. It was reported to be the fifth largest pizza chain in the United States at the time.[4] Cain stepped down from his position as CEO and President in 2002. According to the company's official website, as of June 14, 2011, the chain has 622 locations in 39 U.S. states.[5] You may wake up for your stupor anytime now.

What was the name of his group? Did he own the “group”?

Yet Herman Cain defended affirmative action in debates and on his campaign website in his 2004 campaign for senator.

In the original article this sentence links to On the issues where Cain says:

My standard answer was, "It depends on what you mean by the term 'affirmative action'." That usually caused blank stares from the reporters and allowed me to turn the focus back on the big issues.

In the real world, the individuals who usually rise to the top of their chosen professions and achieve their dreams are the most talented and hardest working. In the political world, success is too often determined by political tenure, timing and factors none of us can control, such as our race, ethnicity or sex.

It appears the author did not bother to read the link he took the time to post in his article.

Can has to deal with the charges better than he has & it mega-stupid for him to try to blame his problem on another campaign.

Especially without solid evidence.

With that said the charges against him strike one as being more shake-downs than bad behavior on his part.

Herman Cain is a bullsh!t artist. A snake oil salesman who sells a fairy tale about a mythical figure named Herman Cain.

99.99% of today's politicians are bullshit artists. And their snake oil is the D or R on their sleeve.

I am not on the Herman Cane bandwagon—yet.

But the hypocrisy shown in asking how Herman Cain became a success while ignoring the record of the dick in Washington’s White House is driving me there.

No one is asking for Obama school records, his college records, his passport records, his Social Security records.

I have no problem with thorough scrutiny of Herman Cain, his background, qualifications and sexual harassment allegations.

The same examination should be made of the demonRAT candidate for President, because we already know more about Herman Cain than we do about barry sorento, aka, barack hussien obama, for example date and place of birth, name of biological parents, the fact that one has a legitimate Social Security number, and that's just the beginning.

When/if did barry stop using coke? Has barry stopped homosexual trysts or does he and the first linebacker have threesomes?

Riddle me that Batman.

Honestly, Can someone post Barack. H. Obama's resume?

1. The story is he was born to a white Communist Mother and a black father from Kenya.

The its a fill in the blank until Occidental College to Columbia and then Harvard Law School.

Do we know for sure if his parents were actually legally married?

Why was his father and mother in Hawaii? Jobs? Schooling?

He I think the story goes he moved with his mother to Indonesia and enrolled in now what the media calls a Catholic school where none of the Catholic teaching seem to take hold like the teaching of a young Muslim shows in Obama.

His whole adult life is trying to gain power through social Justice not economics. Maybe that is why we have a dying economy. His focus has been the white power elite owes the minorities a living for generations to come.

Even though LBJ fixed that in the 1960's. but to Obama that wasn't enough. He is worst than the Manchurian candidate.

You think he cares about so called Climate change? nope

Just the Social Justice of barring white Americans from prospering from the abundance of the most energy in the world.
