I don’t see the big deal. Who cares if the president calls the winner of a game or not?
This brings up a good mystery here....how did Lincoln or Jefferson contact Super Bowl winner or World Series winners back in their day? (sarcasm off)
I am PROUD that Obama did not call the Cardinals after they won.
Well...it's tradition. Marx and Gramsci both wrote extensively about separating and a people from their traditions, history and mythologies in order to establish a new order. There was a time in this country when a phonecall from the President, or an invitation to the White House were some of the greatest forms of recognition for excellence and accomplishment in virtually eny endeavor. They had their small role in promoting and encouraging American Exceptionalism. Obama seems bent on undermining such, and you don't see the big deal.
Because, it is tradition for the person that occupies the office of the presidency to call and congratulate a team that has won a championship. It is less about the individual who occupies the office and more about the recognition from the office of the presidency for great accomplishments. It is further proof how aloof and detached this president is. That he can be so shrill as to not perform the duties traditionally carried out by prior office holders. He has to be the laziest president ever to occupy that office. Have we seen one Omnibus bill get sent to Congress by this incompetent Marxist?
