Love the way the slander at Cain is a “scandal”. When can we expect the same junk Media to refer to the “fast and furious scandal” or “the Solyndra scandal” ect ect ect ect

Really a shameful chapter in US Journalism.

On Friday the NRA offered the accusers a release from the confidentially agreement so they could come forward and tell their side. They refused.

End of story. Anonymous accusations, rumor and innuendo is not news.

Instead of reporting those facts, the “media” keeps pimping the “Cain sexual harassment scandal”

No it is the “Slandering Cain scandal” that should be the news. Who pushed this smear against Cain?

Screw the drivebys, Bringbackthedraft!

If there's one thing we know on this thread, it is that the media is totally biased and in lockstep with the DNC. I show them my hand! I will not watch their shows, channels, whatever, except the Sunday shows which are intelligence missions deep in enemy territory! I certainly do not buy their rags. I disdain them and know that Obama is their creation. I give more blame to the driveby media for our current worldwide predicaments and catastrophes; including 9/11 and the current economic meltdown, the loss of South Vietnam, the holacaust in Cambodia, the rise of the Ayatollahs in Iran and the spread of Islamic Fundamentalism then anyone in the democratic party. The democrats/driveby alliance is of the devil, as far as I am concerned.

It's truly a miracle that despite all this we still got Ronald Reagan and Pope John Paul II who stopped the Cold War and defeated the Soviets. I'm sure there was much sneering at JourOlist cocktail parties.

So I say screw them. From now on I will rally to the cause and name of those they oppose. What they hate is decency, goodness, and righteousness. By their enemies you shall know them.

Thanks for your faithful notice on the "Sunday Morning Talk Show Thread 6 November 2011" and I'll be particularly watchful of the comments since my area congressman, Mike Simpson, whom I believe to be an "establishment Republican," will be on and I no longer subscribe to cable as of Obama's election to the presidency.

Haven't you heard? According to the MSM, the first three years of the Obama Administration have been "miraculously scandal free"

20 years ago when Bill Clinton was the subject, these were known as "Bimbo Eruptions". And then Bill and Hillary and their staffers proceeded to reduce all women's claims of sexual harassment to whining and gold-digging. Now all of a sudden these unknown victims are heroes?

From all my time in corporate financial management through the 70's and forward; some things became apparent:

1. Any settlement that was less than a year's earnings is a nuisance settlement, intended to get the problem behind you, get the malcontent off the payroll, and get the malcontent out the door.

2. There is an old concept called, "Primate See, Primate Do." One person sees another person get a check by complaining, then another person files a similar complaint. Only liberals would consider that to be a coincidence. Or a trial lawyer looking for cash. And a liberal trial lawyer looking for cash would really be an issue.

3. Actually it was a good thing that Billy / Hilly came along and deflated the inflation in such settlements. Put that down as an unintended consequence.

Good post Bray, though I think you expect too much. You expect the pub candidates to take a stand? Beginning with, they’re pubs! Moving on to the obvious....they are up against Cain, he’s their competition. It’ll snow in hell before what you want happens. But it’s nice to dream.

Got a few moments before church, thus some thoughts. First, the Lamestream is a mess at times but for one week now we’ve heard about Cain’s transgressions but as of yet, not one female has come forward, not one legal document has been produced. It looks to me like Cain struggled to provide an explanation but beyond that absolutely no participants in any of this nonsense have stepped forward save some bogus lawyer who knew nothing. Folks, it don’t get any badder than that.

I did some thinking on this sexual harassment thing and my own rich working past in dealing with the matter. This long before the NAGS got their fangs into it and who, silly me, thought were wonderful and on my side at the time.

Males make moves on females all the time and oncit upon a time, even now from time to time I suspect. I was once a union rep and had to work late often with the union VP, a fat really creepy guy. One night, next thing I know, the guy’s got his hand up my blouse and he’s pulling me to him for a big ugly sloppy kiss.

I slapped his hand away and harumpphhhed. I did absolutely nothing to encourage this man but he did knock it off.

Also had a boss, right in the office in the middle of the shop where I was a Quality Control Inspector, in the midst of a confab we were having over reports, slid his hand right up my skirt! I pulled away, embarassed though why I was embarassed still amuses me. Again, he didn’t do it again.

One time, this is really shocking to me still to this day, my very father-in-law put his hand on my thigh and made indecent overtures. When I told my husband about it husband just changed the subject. Found out later, after I divorced this emasculated creep, that the FIL was fired from his job for sexual harassment and I’m thinking he likely deserved it.

The biggest problem I had in my life with sexual harassment was about my ability to do the job rather than any kind of sexual thing. I was a Quality Control Inspector, first female in a department of all men. Some of those men were really bad, once locking up my one and only female colleague in the high voltage tank room. Once that door was secured, the voltage of up to 24,000 could be turned on. The idea was you go out of the cage after hooking up the leads to the wires, lock the cage door, THEN flip the switch. Only some brave, brave guy in our department walks by and thought it would be a hoot to close the door while she was still in there so the hyenas could all sit and watch her standing still in fear, yelling for someone to unlock.

I was a Union Rep on that one, got that guy FIRED, asshole, was nominated and ran for a higher union position, by my MALE colleagues, yes it was one of my life’s victories.

Other day my husband says...”Reminds me of Anita Hill getting all upset over a discussion of a pubic hair on a coke can. Silly thing to get riled about.”

Getting out of the way that maybe such a discussion never happened but husband’s assumption was that Thomas did say this but Hill was too sensitive. No. You get in a situation with a man where he starts to talk dirty, it’s not fun, it’s not nice, you don’t want to go there, do not say it’s all just innocent fun.

It’s scary is what it is. Again, not saying such a thing happened tween Hill and Thomas but husband’s stance that Hill was too darn sensitive is wrong headed.

Point is sexual harassment DOES happen, do not be fooled, though I seriously doubt it happens that much today. All of my incidents were before the big uproar over the matter.

I daresay most women around my age could recite the same kind of stories.

Seems to me from what I could glean from the Cain nothing burger story, that, at MOST, Cain had a bit of a roving eye for the ladies. All of these so-called incidents happened at the phoenix of the NAGS reign in power. Sounds like these women took advantage of something imaginery, maybe something real but hardly x-rated, and made some money.

For it IS okay for a male to make advances, with taste hopefully. It’s when he doesn’t take NO for an answer that the problems occur.

Rush Limbaugh said that no matter what happens (the whole “sexual harassment” thing could be proven with concrete empirical fact based evidence to be just the mad musings of Professor Nuttso during his sabbatical on an isolated island in the Aegean Sea), from now on, be he president or no—as a conservative he will always be presented by the MSM as “Herman Cain, accused sexual predator.”

No what you should gleam from the Cain story is an accusation were made and hyped. When the accusers were asked to come out of the shadows so Cain could defend himself, they refused

Don't assume guilt just because an accusation was made. It is also possible for women to lie in these cases. Innocent until prove guilty is suppose to be the standard

I have talked to people who know Cain and have worked closely with him.

These accusations are complete nonsense.

In that scandal-free environment, there should be a new unit of currency called the “Solyndra”, or approximately 529 Million Dollars. Perhaps the Mint could issue a bill and put Barack Obama’s picture on it. Or the Franklin Mint could produce a plate.

I did not say in any fashion that there is any truth to any of the nonsense last week.

I did not. I believe it’s all nonsense, air, nothing burgers.
