And worse, Rick Perry is now being treated as a object of pity by the talking heads on CNBC.
From a purely selfish standpoint, this does hurt Texas. The lamestream media will enjoy mocking not just our governor but all Texans. (I really hope I'm wrong about that).
I hammered Perry and was reviled. He is a Bush clone, but more stupid. Toast.

I’m rather at that point myself.
I wasn’t all for Perry getting into the race to begin with because he just never really had “it” for the national scene. He was passable and had the “R” next to his name so he walked elections here for the time being. Fine. He’s been better than most of the Dem candidates he’s run up against for Governor. I’m mostly okay, if not excited, with him as Guv.
But, I’m starting to feel for him as he continues to under-perform. I don’t know what he can do at this point to seriously re-image and re-launch himself. Coaching, marketing, imaging, advertising.......his biggest hurdle is when he has to present himself and an argument against someone else. I don’t know how you get by that.
