Well said! If I had a kid there participating in these sick demonstrations supporting Paterno, he/she would be flipping burgers to pay for tuition next semester! It might teach them what their real priorities ought to be...
This is also an indictment of the parents, because when parents react strongly to cases of idiotic stupidity, most kids slow down and listen closely to what their parents have to say.

Paterno sat on these crimes for at least 9 whole years to preserve his and the school’s “reputation” and his own salary/legacy! How many more pre-teen boys were raped during that time by this monster Sandusky and possibly others?

Sandusky was involved with a group helping at-risk children call Second Mile. After retiring from Penn State he was given emeritus status meaning he had full access to all of Penn State’s facilities.

Paterno was fired yesterday (effectively), orior to that I’m sure the General Counsel for the University placed all staff under a gag order regarding the case.
Paterno now needs to get his own attorney and have a press conference to “clear the air”
Again, outside of small snippets and enroneous press reports none of us have enough information to judge....
The only facts we know is that it was reported to Paterno and he immediately reported it. Beyond that anything else is speculation.
The man has a tremendously good reputation not only on the football field but off. Before condeming him, he should have an opportunity to present the facts which he hasn’t yet.

Everyone of the students defending Paterno should be compelled to read the Grand Jury testimony.
One other point: no one, to my knowledge, has yet drawn a connection to Clinton-Lewinsky - when much of this horror began and/or accelerated by Sandusky After all, the MSM assured us it was “just about sex,” never mind the power differential.

Paterno himself admitted he should have done more, plus there is already evidence that Sandusky was inappriately involved with little boys going all the way back to 1995.
Betcha JoePa knew all about it since then and still just sat on his hands hoping the coverup would hold and protect his legacy. He has already hired a hi-power attorney and he is going to need him when all the civil cases come up! His legacy will be the prime enabler/protector of a serial homosexual pedophile!

I had a colleague who used to say that dismissively and call me a racist or bigot when I pointed out instances of sexual perversion that were happening under the radar and being covered up! He also completely miscalled the Duke lacrosse team rape case, even after the evidence indicated otherwise. Later he admitted he hated jocks, so the lie was therefore justified in his mind!?! (He is also a RINO and a leader in his local Jewish Reform synagogue, so mebbe he just can’t help it!)

The ironic thing is that the drunk 20 year old tough guy college students were the same age as the poor kid who was ass raped by Sandusky 9 years ago.
They were 9 or 10 years old in 2002. They wouldn’t feel the same way if it was their ass on the line.
People are saying he should have done more. If he does more, how does he know he isn't jeopardizing an investigation though?
Yes, more should have been done to stop Sandusky. Was it Paterno who should have done more though or others?
Just saying that he wishes he did more isn't the admission of guilt that people are taking it to be here.
