Based on conjecture and wild hysterical speculation. People thousands of miles away trying to reach into the minds of all the people involved and project what they were thinking and done. You can muse all day but until we know more, we don’t know a hell of a lot.
Either way it means nothing. Continuing to vomit moral outrage at Joe accomplishes nothing. He is off the chess board. Turn the speculation to a possible sex ring, because there may still be perps out there abusing kids and continuing their evil filth.

Why is it that when one is upset about the way things are progressing they accuse the OTHER guy of being upset and suggest taht the OTHER guy take a time out?

You realize College Station is home to Texas A&M and not Penn State, right?

He has know for years that Sandusky was raping boys. His first statement to the press (after a three year investigation that he was a part of and was known to the College Station community) was 'if these charges are true'. Give me a break!
He then made another statement which contradicted what was in his grand jury testimony.
He spoke to the team and the players said the emphasis was on "Beat Nebraska". What was he thinking! Never mind the scandal.
Did you see the video of the rally in front of his home? PATHETIC! Joe was all about Joe. No sense of concern for how the university was destroyed and he was a party of that destruction. He was LAUGHING and SMILING rejoicing with the attention he was getting. It was all about Joe!!!!!!!!!!
None in your mind anyway. Most of what you post about Paterno is pure speculation and at the level of a screech in all these threads, none of which is supported by the grand jury report. Yet you keep putting it out there like it is.

Sandusky hasn't been convicted. Until he is a public figure saying he's guilty can be liable for slander. You may not like it but that's the way it is. You keep saying he 'knew' for years Sandusky was raping kids. You have no proof of that and there is none in the grand jury report. How do you know he 'knew'? Not suspected, KNEW!

You've established he's a moral coward and a jerk. That doesn't prove that he 'knew' or 'covered-up'. Trying to use that as proof is a reach, at best.
Apparently not. I post nothing to you about Joe and you come back with the accusations. It is you that are fixated on Joe, not me. Most every post I have made discussing Joe has been in response to posts you and Tribune7 have made. If you and Tribune7 were not so fixated on Joe and posting your BS, I would probably have made only a couple of posts today.

I was only trying to show that he is acting like a jerk. Why do you want to reopen the issue about his covering it up. I thought you preferred that we move on but you keep it open. Joe knew. Get over it.
You have repeatedly and emphatically asserted that Joe absolutely knew the guy was a child rapist and that Joe was actively protecting Sandusky. I’m not talking about negligent inaction and moral cowardice, but actually using his position and power to keep a lid on Sandusky’s activities.
To this date, there is no evidence of that. On the once situation we know of where Joe had the opportunity to cover it up, he reported it to his superiors, who declined to investigate. Now if you can prove that Joe KNEW ahead of time that if he kept this ‘in-house’ that nothing would be done, then you got a case.
Until you do have something beyond that Joe was a moral coward trying to save his own butt (and could care less about Sandusky), you have speculation. In fact you repeated point out how self-absorbed and tunnel visioned Joe is. That in itself hints that Joe wouldn’t have walked out on a limb to actively protect Sandusky, but rather was just too much of a moral coward to confront it.
You know what convinced me that Joe knows?
When he appeared in front of his sycophant fans after his was fired....this is not a guy who cares about what happened to those kids, as much as he cares about having the fawning adulation of his fans.

College Township is a township in PA. College Township is located in the city of State College (which I originally carelessly referred to as College Station in my haste to write posts). PSU is located in State College. Some of the PSU campus is located in College Township.
Quite honestly, I don't think Joe has any sense of awareness (and hasn't for years). Many PSU fans have worried that he would say or do something to embarrass himself because it's obvious he lacks mental clarity on his surroundings (I never would have imagined this, though). One need look no further than his postgame press conferences and sideline interviews to see it, and it's been going on for years.
Obviously that doesn't excuse this situation and I don't think that this was the case in 2002 or 1998. But I do think it's an explanation for his actions this week. It's why he never should have been allowed to stick around this long.
I post nothing about Joe and you come back to me with this BS AGAIN! Look in the mirror. If you would quit posting to me, the volume of my posts would drop 90%. Joe knew. Get over it.
