Why wont Cain or Romney or Newt give us their plan. Because no one is asking because the true leader is the one being asked the hard questions. What is Cain's plan?

You don't require him to give you one yet you will vote for him. What exactly do you require Herman Cain to give you in terms of record and policy for your vote?

You require Perry to answer questions you wont even ask your preferred candidate. The reason you wont ask is because you know it will be the same. At least Perry is honest and forth right about it.

Look the time is coming where we have to vote for a President. Herman Cain is a great personality but if your wife is a Democrat and you were up until '96 voting for Clinton, you are simply rhetoric. Newt, Mitt or Perry are the ones with the record to look at. I'm not voting for a guy with no record

Newt hasn’t said a lot on the border issue that I’ve heard. I think he might be another “secure the border first” candidate and he has made recent statements suggesting some types of amnesty in the future. He needs to be flushed out on this. I think he might lose some of his recent gains when people learn more about his position on illegal immigration. He’s been scoring points by staying above the fray and offering some good, but mostly very general comments here and there.

All that can be said about Romney is what I have already said. With any of them we have to assess how they’d govern on any given issue with Republican control in the House and Senate.

Cain has been clear about building a fence and enforcing the law. He’s has used a less than specific phrase: “use the path to citizenship we already have”, which needs to be clarified.

Whatever, as I’ve already said, all the candidates dance around on this issue to some extent, especially when it comes to who to do with the 15 million or so illegals already here.

But there is no doubt that Perry is the worst of all and his attempts at damage control on this haven’t been very successful.

And we’ll never have internal enforcement of immigration law without something like E-Verify to identify who is or is not eligible to work legally in the US. If you oppose such systems we’ll never be able to avoid hiring illegals and never be able to identify visa overstayers.

Opposing that on some civil liberties grounds is just BS from folks who want no enforcement of immigration law. Legal citizens already have numerous IDs and records with various levels of government. Opposing E-Verify mostly enables illegals to continue their illegal existence and employment in the US.

You’re wasting your time trying to convince any remotely well informed people that Perry will be strong on border enforcement, let along immigration law enforcement in general.
