You did not get it either, none of this crap was in his job description. His job was to teach the game and guide the players in the development of their abilities.

As growing, young men, not women. Teaches do a lot that isn’t in their job description. Why should he be the exception? Because he offended the emasculated Leftists and the Feminist there doing it?

I’d vote for him to POTUS if it was possible! Oh, wait a minute! That’s not in his job description! I’ll settle for second best - make him principal of the school!

"The survey was clearly intended as a joke to poke fun at political correctness and to unify the team; as coach since 1998, Pat Lynch had led his team to a 96-40 record, twelve playoff appearances, six state championship games, and back-to-back 4A state titles in 2004 and 2005.

So he was a proven leader and motivator of young men. But this cut no ice with a few sissies who got their panties in a twist when they saw the survey.

So they cried to the school board and the board lowered the boom. But Superintendent Dr. Rod Kessler wasn't totally vindictive, which is why Lynch was allowed to stay on as guidance counselor. "

They shoulda filled out the form AND THEN handed it in to the school board.

Yup. The coach should not be joking around with the players in this manner. He needs to keep his mind on his duties and worry a little bit less about being "Cool Mom"...

Wrong, wrong, a thousand times wrong. THE most important part of any coach’s job is to make sure the players become functioning adults, able to stand on their own two feet. Winning is secondary to developing men and women.

I coached ice hockey for 30 years. I ws not a winning coach, mostly because I volunteered for the B level teams. But, the letters from players and parents thanking me are worth more than any win. I remember one player who refused to move up to an A team just so he could play on my team.

Exactly.

Coach the team, develop the players as players.

Save your philosophical nuances for the teachers’ lounge.
