Herman Cain: 'I'm not supposed to know anything about foreign policy'

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, whose editorial board interview with Herman Cain produced one of the most memorable videos of 2012, spent a day on his campaign bus with some nice highlights.
Among them:
He defended his view that presidents and presidential candidates don't need to be immersed in the fine print of world affairs - they simply need to be leaders who can surround themselves with the right people and sift through their advice.
"I'm not supposed to know anything about foreign policy. Just thought I'd throw that out," he said, a dig at his critics.
"I want to talk to commanders on the ground. Because you run for president (people say) you need to have the answer. No, you don't! No, you don't! That's not good decision-making," said Cain.

It’s not so much if Herman Cain can come up with quick answers to the “ Gotcha “ MSM , but, rather, does he stick to his God given values and convictions and his love for this country...

Amen. Cain may not be a "smart" man in the political sense but he is a very wise man. I guess I would rather trust our future to a wise man then a "smart" one.

Agreed, but the hammering will only be effective if WE buy into the StateRunMedia meme, stop supporting him and allow them to choose our nominee.
This is all they have folks. Obama is SO awful, that the Dems MUST ensure that our nominee is someone who our base will not work passionately for.
Worse still - the Establishment Republicans are Every bit as hell bent on STAYING IN CONTROL, and getting THEIR guy in.

P.S. That taped interview on Libya was NOT “brutal” HotAir, I saw a man, clarifying a question, and proceeding carefully before he answering. After all, he KNOWS he is not a politician, (That you Lord), knows he is not strong on Foreign policy and remembers all the traps set for Sarah, and the resulting carnage from their gotcha journalism. Mr. Cain is NOT stupid, and I seriously question HotAir’s intentions in advancing that perception.
