Moderate Islamist means that they are too chicken to do anything themselves, but they will certainly sit back and let their brother “Extreme Islamists” do the job with no qualms or regret. Exactly right. Someone who opposes jihad, who rejects the idea that Islam must conquer, and who is willing to fight to stop jihadis from attacking non-Muslims, is not a "moderate" Muslim. He is not considered a Muslim at all.

A “moderate Muslim” is a voiceless myth. Last summer I read an article (I can't find it) that showed the percentage of a country's population that was Muslim and the murder rate per 100,000 people. It's virtually a perfect correlation: The greater the density of Muslims, the higher the murder rate. The primary reason was because the two major factions in Islam, Sunni and Shi’a, are always killing each other to gain dominant control.
Moderate Muslim? You'll have better luck looking for a live T-Rex.
