Newt certainly has his baggage and the problems with that will surely be spotlighted if his rise continues, which I think highly likely.

You bring up a great point - namely that Newt is extremely articulate and knowledgeable and is able to express himself in a cogent manner. I wish I could say that about the others but I simply can’t. Perry doomed himself at the debates - if you can’t hack it in friendly, he sure as heck couldn’t handle one against Obama. As for Cain, I really like him but his lack of prep on some pretty basic questions doesn’t bode well. Apart from Romney, who we all agree we don’t want, who else do you really think could rhetorically gut Obama?

Fight the good fight, but in the end I think it will come down to Newt and Romney for the nomination.

Post #39. Of course I agree with it, but beyond that I think it was very well said. Downright cogent, if you ask me.

:)

Obama has the baggage of being the worst president in history.
