Newly acquired intelligence reports indicate several Arab countries in the Middle East are lobbying the US to strike Iran this year, Israel's Channel 10 reported.
According to the report, which is said to be making its rounds in Britain's political circles, Saudi Arabia wants the Obama administration to attack Iran's nuclear facilities before the final withdrawal of US troops from Iraq.
US president has vowed to close the door on American military involvement in Iraq by year’s end, but Riyadh is reportedly afraid Iran will use the American exit to take over the country.
Since 2008, officials in the Iraqi interim government have complained to Washington that both Iran and Saudi Arabia were, respectively, funding the Shiite and Sunni insurgencies that have plagued the country since the US-led invasion that toppled late dictator Sadam Hussein.
Security experts say Baghdad's security forces are unprepared to confront the rival insurgencies that hold Iraq in their grip - and that Obama's dogged drive to fulfill his campaign promise may have disastrous consequences both for the region and US interests.

Cost Benefit Analysis of Striking Iran:
Benefits:
1. Assist the sole non-Islamic by wiping out an imminent threat.
2. Prevent nuclear proliferation in the Middle East.
Costs:
1. Assist Sunni Islamofascists by wiping out Shite Islamofacists.
2. Involvement in another war, lives lost and huge hit on economy.
The biggest cost could be that this Iran war could be the last straw that breaks the US’s back.
Personally I’m looking forward to gasoline prices doubling or tripling when Iran starts throwing its weight around when it gets nuclear weapons. If you thought their interference in Iraq and Afghanistan was something you haven’t seen anything yet.
Now that Obama, may his nuts rot off, has demonstrated his continued desire to cripple America by delaying the Keystone pipeline, it can only get worse as our offshore energy dependence is continued.

First of all, all the Arab nations are muslim nations. Do you see any muslim nation capable of handling anything for their own edification or betterment of the world?
Have you seen a muslim nation able to take care of itself? The so-called “Arab Spring” is nothing but a self-destructive process with the hope that the West will pick up the pieces after it is all over.

I was just going to say something along the same line ... our soldiers are taking too many casualties with no concrete outcome as it is. Our division has lost far too many soldiers this deployment. IMHO

We don’t have those, and we don’t have contiguous borders with Iran, either. You need either one or the other, and you have the first. So you’re elected. Since you also need ground troops, we’ll parachute them in. But you give us the tactical air cover, and supply lines to your big ship. There. Now we have a plan. Bibi? You lurking on Freep?
