He needs to define non-violent protest and what was the full context of the pepper spraying event (the bits and pieces I’ve seen were disturbing). According to the media tea party protests are violent...
Let the students police themselves like OWS did and why have classes....this is about protesting as a national strategy. So no pepper spray just street drugs, binge drinking and disruption of paid education services for our kids in State schools. Perhaps we could send them all to Mexico for an early holiday?
I recall a few weeks ago, somebody blogged that OWS wants/needs a "Kent State like " moment..they're trying to raise this incident to that level...
Just get some spray bottles and spray them with soapy water. They’ll run off screaming. If somebody in CA wanted to have some real fun, join in with the protesters and drop a dead spotted owl in the middle of the sit in. Jump up and scream “My God! We’re in the middle of a nesting site!” Sit back and watch the fun.
Fire UC Berkeley Chancellor Birgneau: University of California police take direction from campus chancellors. Discrimination against Californians by University of California Berkeley Chancellor. Chancellor Robert J Birgeneau ($450,000 salary) displaces Californians qualified for public university education at Cal. for a $50,600 payment by a foreign student.
The need for transparency at UC Berkeley has never been so clear. UC Berkeley, # 70 Forbes ranking, is not increasing enrollment. Birgeneau accepts $50,600 foreign students at the EXPENSE of displaced qualified instate Californians (If amortization of fixed assets funded by Californians are included in foreign and out of state tuition calculations they would pay more than $100,000+ and would NOT subsidize instate tuition)
UC Regent Chairwoman Lansing and President Yudof both agree to discriminate against Californians for the admission of foreigners. Birgeneau, Yudof, Lansing need to answer to Californians.
