Exactly, me either. NEVER.

That chameleon has no clue what is happening down here in Southern Arizona. Zero. And really, throughout the entire country. How many stories do we hear, almost weekly, about another drunken illegal who murdered someone? And, even the lame federal study showed who started most of the raging fires down here last year.

Newt to unemployed American taxpayer: Too bad,you will have to compete on an equal footing for a job with an illegal who has been here 25 years.

not taking the bait of those (including some on Free Republic)

Yeah, but what a number of Freepers want is the red, red, red, red meat. Ripped raw and bloody from the steer.

Prediction: Whoever gets the GOP nomination....whoever it is, no matter how much that person may be loved here today......will occasionally speak in nuanced terms that will cause part of FR to erupt with "FU__!!!!!"

>>Some arrogant Gingrichbot told me the man is so bright he can argue any side of an issue. So, I asked him, how do we know what he actually believes? Never got a response back.<<

Exactly!

I disagree with you assessment of Perry. As far as I can tell, Perry is the more conservative than Newt. Their position is practically the same on illegal immigration. If Perry is a “crony capitalist”, Newt is X100. I’ll take a state governor over a DC insider who took millions from Fannie Mae anyday. Also, if you think Perry has no convictions, then Newt certainly doesn’t.

Is the candidate you support going to deport them? If not, has he or she offered a solution?

The candidate I support will have a a national employment verification system so that many of them that are here in such jobs regardless of how long will go home and have to give those jobs up to citizens No exceptions.

Cutting off the benefits is the way to go I guess. e-verify, no jobs, no welfare, no free schools, no free ER

It's actually the very first step we need to take, to end the illegal invasion. We have to turn off the magnet that's drawing them here.

And, it doesn't take force, or additional tax dollars to accomplish, either.

PALIN 2012 OR BUST

The more I watch our candidates in these debates, the more convinced I am that Palin will have to step into this thing. I'm completely unconvinced and uninspired by all of these people.

I’m saying that in our quest for the anti-Romney, Newt is the least of the choices outside of Paul and Huntsman. He would not, IMO, take on the Beltway mindet as we so desperately need a GOP president to do, he has become too deeply enmeshed in such.

It was a much smaller problem back then. I know and you know that if they grant amnesty again that they will do nothing to stop those 12-20 million from bringing over more and more family members until Thanksgiving is celebrated with tacos instead of turkey.

There are threads on FR where you are welcome to indulge this fantasy. And I promise not to interrupt those threads with the cold wet blanket of reality.

But let's keep discussion on the debate threads to those candidates who are, you know, actually running.

Gingrich said after the debate that millions will leave as a result of cracking down on employers. He is talking about the parents or grandparents of long time American citizens, and he is talking about legalizing them not full citizenship.

Yes I know all about how wrong illegal immigration is. If you listened to Newt he is talking about ending illegal immigration so we can control immigration of skilled people we want.

Guess what? I’m not a Newt, Romney, Santorum, Bachman,or Cain supporter. I’ll take any damn one of them over Obama and I’m sick of the hatred for each one it’s gotten ridiculous.

Do you think CNN really cares about this other than to try and rip the GOP apart and keep that dangerous idiot Obama in the White House?

Secure the border.....every time immigration comes to the forfront there's a made dash for the border and they come in in droves.....they have to secure the border, they've known this for eons...they choose not to so where does the blame rest. We all know that as well.
