Some demonstrators are planning to occupy retailers on Black Friday to protest "the business that are in the pockets of Wall Street."
Organizers are encouraging consumers to either occupy or boycott retailers that are publicly traded, according to the Stop Black Friday website.
The goal of the movement is to impact the profits of major corporations this holiday season. "The idea is simple, hit the corporations that corrupt and control American politics where it hurts, their profits, " states the Occupy Black Friday Facebook page.
A few of the retailers the protesters plan on targeting include Neiman Marcus, Amazon and Wal-Mart.
Their website states the following:
"Keep in mind that we are not occupying small businesses or hardworking peoplewe must make a distinction between the businesses that are in the pockets of Wall Street and the businesses that serve our local communities.
We are NOT anti-capitalist. Just anti-crapitalist.

“Oh no you di’int!”, ‘stomp’. :)
If OWS can do a big job with this, it will lead to pure outright hatred (along with ridicule) against them, and anyone supporting them or allied with them, hell, you can even make campaign commercials with this and run them next year in october.......
I am amazed (stunned?, shocked?) that no one has retaliated for the disruptions caused by the scumbags. I don’t understand why New Yorkers, famous for their low tolerance and surliness, have put up with stopping traffic, interfering with workers and harassing little children.
Have we become so jaded that there is nothing worth getting angry about? Sheesh, fogeddaboutit (it = our republic).
It’s in the water.
In our local community Walmart employs a lot of people. This is not protest, it's pure anarchy. Nothing could get me out and to the malls on black Fri. but I will now make sure I do some online shopping.
Just let them stand in front of the doors at Macy’s, Best Buy, Sears or any other major retailers when they open their doors Friday.
Big mistake, never get between a customer and a sale. Once I saw a couple of old men having a fight over a red bra during a blue light special at K-Mart. What a sight!
I’m thinking that the “Occupy” idiots haven’t seen what happens to people who stand in the way of Black Friday deals. Not making light of it at all, but just opening the door for most of those stores on Friday would warrant hazard pay. So standing in the way or “protesting..” well..that probably won’t go very well.
Just three years ago. Please, OWS, please go ahead with this brain dead (no pun intended) idea.

Egads! Make it hard on the retailers!
These people want the country to fail.
That’s what I say. Put them in front of the doors when they open, If they think standing in front of a herd of stampeding cattle is fun.
Instant Roadkill.
They were probably arguing over who’s turn it was to wear it.
This is a very specific list -
I wonder if these businesses contribute more to Republican than Demonic-rats?
The mental image is fantastic! LOL!
Protest in peace, do not threaten me, my family nor anyone in the general vicinity of where I am at any time. Be respectful, state your case and obey the laws and all of you "Occupy Trash" will be fine. Enjoy your freedom, don't infringe on the rest of ours.
I so hope that these worthless thugs get the violent reaction that they’re asking for - Christmas shoppers, be agressive. Anybody stands in your way, just put them down.
They will get trampled by bargain hunters!
Yeah, that’s it! Protest all those dadgum 1%ers going shopping at Wal-Mart at 5:00 a.m. And Amazon? What are they going to do? Stand in front of their computer with a sign? Are there actual Amazon stores? I just thought they were online.
