People are in such a hurry.

They were checking to see if it could be weaponized and basically found that it could be. So now the point is to try to make sure that terrorists don’t figure out how to do it by getting ahold of the research description and data.

My bet is that if these scientists were able to do it, some Muslim biologist would also be able to figure out how to do it, as long as they had the facility and raw materials to do it with. That’s where it bites us in the butt that the entre Middle East is being taken over by Islamists. It provides lots of cover for somebody to do this kind of “research” for weaponization purposes.
