MANAMA, Bahrain (AP) — Marine Gen. James F. Amos, the face of opposition in the military to lifting the ban on gays serving openly, now acknowledges his concern has proven unfounded that repeal would undermine the war effort. In fact, he says, Marines have embraced the change.
In an Associated Press interview, Amos called the repeal in September "a non-event."

I keep saying it because it is the only solution. Nothing else will work. Our problems have no political solution. Maybe the republic is dead, i'd like to think that there are some that can keep the idea of a republic alive. If the founders were cranks then so am I.

I would just counsel them not to join because the chain of command is suspect, the political control is immoral, there is no confidence that they will be deployed in a mission developed in a sound, professional military manner, they may be sued for engaging the enemy, they may be sent into harms way for immoral political reasons, they may die from trying to obey an impossible PC dictat, there is no operational security - no confidence that the details of a mission have not been leaked, simply no confidence in the commanders. Now you got all these Carter and Clinton generals getting booted upstairs. It’s a recipe for losing wars and getting a lot of our guys killed. It makes me want to puke.
It sounds to me like Gen. James F. Amos is kissing some a$$.
Maybe some one should take a poll of the troops to find out what they really think. I don’t think this general represents the views of the troops!!

Too late! This is the end-game to a decade-long strategy...First the Corps was prepped by the 10-year pussification process...The faggotization process is part of the same strategy...
I wonder if they are simply stupid, ignorant, lazy, careless or don’t care? They do this frequently. I think they must be trying out the theory of the 10,000 monkeys with typewriters process of writing.
My shock at the poor quality of students being produced by our universities grows by the day. Not only can’t they write well, they don’t speak well or think well. Their problem solving skills would have to be present to be poor.
There are a few notable exceptions and I was fortunate enough to be able to hire one. He sticks out like a sore thumb and is horribly frustrated by his cohorts. It is a daily challenge to keep his spirits up not because of his attitude but because he feels so alone. Great young man, reminds me of my own son who can run circles around just about all of his peers.
You might want to try that question out on your nearest rino representative....
They are both smart young men who come from good, moral, solid stock. Whatever they eventually do, it will be the right thing.
