Conservative loyalty to the GOP is misplaced. The break will come eventually.

No truer words...

Not even on Free Republic.

Over? Did you say ‘Over’?! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

Indeed.

As far as I can see on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011, America deserves him.

Yes that is the case.

I still support Herman, but I also do not watch TV or any other main stream media.

I do not wish to be mind controlled.

We need somebody that is going push for a fundamental change to our tax system. Not just tweek around the edges.

Perry?

I have a clear vision for America, one in which America returns to its rightful place as the most free and prosperous nation in history and stands tall before the world instead of bowing to foreign leaders.

By 2020, America must have a tax code that is simple and fair; a federal budget that balances without raising taxes; retirement and health care programs that are sustainable and secure; a common-sense regulatory system that does not create undue burdens on job creators; and a growing economy that allows the best and brightest to create and innovate free from government intimidation.

The current economic problems faced by so many Americans were created by years of wasteful mismanagement and incompetent central-planning and cannot be fixed overnight. To be sure, there are a number of things that can be done by the president on day 1 to begin the process of restoring the American economy. But the reforms necessary to fix the broken tax and regulatory code, balance the budget, and grow the economy for the long-term will take some time and patience. Their implementation requires a clear plan, consistent leadership, and sustained resolve.

To increase economic growth, we must simplify the tax code so families and businesses are no longer wasting billions of hours and dollars each year just trying to comply with the mess that is the current tax code. To increase economic growth, we must make America the best place in the world to start and grow a business by eliminating special-interest tax breaks and bringing our corporate tax rate more in line with our global trading partners.

To increase economic growth, we must free up hundreds of millions of dollars of capital currently held hostage to an unnecessary and burdensome dividends and capital gains tax. To increase economic growth, we must unshackle American small businesses from an oppressive regulatory regime that knows more about intimidation than job creation. To increase economic growth, we must finally enact a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution and put an end to overspending once and for all. The American economy simply cannot grow under the weight of a crushing amount of debt.

I see I really should have pointed you to this post by me in the same thread as the other one:

It clarifies my position, especially within the context of the points you make in your post to which I am responding.

In that case, it is theirs, just not the candidates.

Unfortunately, this type of announcement is often self fulfilling. It will cut off the stream of contributions which will form part of the basis to quit.

have run a successful privately owned business for many years. It is still thriving today, in spite of the dismal economy.

I know many just like you..who had strong business foundations, good sales, good management, good principles of business..and yes can even hire when they can find someone dependable and knowledgeable enough to do their job.

I see your dedication of focus in Building the economy, just like sales this Christmas season are doing extremely well for the retail sector. Have even heard it on here, it will make Obama look good. Would they rather see misery of Americans in order to pull out an election?

The President is just window dressing, he is a salesman of the highest order working with presidents, prime ministers, dignitaries from around the world who are selling whatever they have for sale, as well. A President needs to make Americans feel safe, feel positive in viewing their prosperity of future. Instilling Confidence is key! I am confident the R will win the election. Too many on the L like Frank [17/8] are running for the Hills while the time is right. Their history has caught up with them.

How can we go wrong with our cutting edge technology wanted by every other country as soon as it comes to market. I see so many defeatists here; BUT you get it! They want to be led, while you take the reins and you lead, perhaps wishing it could be easier; but you take those hurtles and succeed despite all odds.

Obama is not powerful enough to bring down a country filled with people like you! The Right gives him too much credit.

I like you, you're cool to me.

You are correct .... Very had decisions coming for next November. :-(

Only thing which has me worried is the SC and there zer0 would have the ace (if reelected). Am a Cain supporter. Once the sharks smell blood .... well everyone knows what happens. Holding out at this point and praying for a miracle. Fully thinking and knowing miracles occur every day, except when the sharks and demons are at play. The sharks and demons have this day. Will they rule by the end of the week? Maybe and Maybe Not.

Yeah. And also in 2008 it was Hillary’s turn. She waited 8 long years for it. And we all know how THAT turned out.

Lets just hope Mitt gets rejected as well.

To say I’m disappointed and bitter is not stretching the truth. The real conservative has been bounced by GOP Elites in favor of the guy who built the template for ObamaCare

Rush Limbaugh said just a few days ago that she shouldn’t be written off. She’s smart, she’s a foreign policy expert, she’s a true fiscal conservative and she’s been very consistent.

Sounds great, but we both will end up waiting, and then we’ll see what actually happens.

Dems are very differdnt than the GOP. Dems chase after shiny new objects and Hillary was old and tarnished. Republicans wait their turn and Mitty's next in line.

I can just picture a Perry/Obama debate.

Perry stammers and has stage shock while Obama is stuck repeating the same verses on a broken TOTUS.

What a disaster that would be.

I'll not vote for anyone but Cain or Bachmann.

If not them, it would be better that Americans face the disaster of 4 more years of Obama.

The House would, as it is now, refuse to go along with his policies; so the last two years would politically repeat.

And people who work and pay the bills - WOULD BE FURIOUS and let their Representatives and Senators know about it. You'd REALLY see a Tea Party if he was re-elected.

Only then will the establishment stop pushing the idea of "compromise".

The compromise between a trillion annual deficit and no annual deficit is half a trillion annual deficit - which is still unacceptable since it's unworkable.

Europe is melting down financially.

And America is still compromising - still bent on government cronyism and socialism.

How does one compromise on a bailout - half a bailout ?

Can an illegal alien be half legal ?

America needs to learn 2 things:

Socialism leads to bankruptcy and misery.

Compromise with disasterous policies - 1/2 a disastrous policy - still leads to disaster.

Cowardly pundits, including RINOs like Charles Krauthammer, wait until a conservative makes a mistake or is accused of something that can't be proved one way or the other so that they can declare a candidate "finished" The media repeats soundbites and accusations over and over, declares them "finished", and then trys to hide any good news about them. Bachmann, Cain, Santorum, and Paul will be treated this way. Gingrich and Perry are RINOs who will be put on a pedestal to keep from gaining momentum any threat to the media RINO elect; Romney.

Since Mittens is most likely to buy ads, all TV media outlets, Fox News included, he will be in the Mitness Media Protection Plan. Cain's foreign policy gaffes and the cheerleading for RINO Newt slightly lowered Cain's poll numbers. Just like after Bachmann's gaffes, the media declared his campaign finished, and will not only report bad news about him. Soros Puppet's voting and business record will never be discussed near as much as the National Restraunt Association sexual accusations or those of the financial/legal troubled lady in this story who waited until Monday (the best news day) 11/28/11 to reveal a 13 year affair. Look at the voting and business records that the media won't talk about, and forget the rest.

I hardly think Charles Krauthammer’s rice bowl depends on Mitt Romney presidential ads.

I am pretty sure I agree with all of that. My point is that I want the ‘R’ to be someone who isn’t an imitation of Obama.
