Wrong on both points. Perry is MUCH more conservative than either President Bush and he's also very eloquent. I admit his debate performances have been less than stellar but his retail politicking is great. He's veery good face to face...check out Youtube for his interviews with Cavuto or Hannity.
I also recommend his book 'Fed Up'. Read that and the forward by Newt.

Not sure what I think of Perry. I'm afraid of him getting destroyed in a debate with O.
I still get back to this point however. We are a nation of close to 300 million people (I think).
We don't have any more compelling candidates than the ones running right now?
Why not? There are good, articulate conservatives out there. Why are none running?
Perry seems too close to islamists and Grover Norquist for me.
Perry will be on with Jay Leno Thursday night. That should be fun.
As far as I know, Perry has never said one word critical of Cain.
The reverse, sadly, is not true.
