I read your post and I agree with much of it. I don’t trust our government at all right now and I too think we’re heading down the road of a worldwide economic collapse, which is very likely to occur within the next year. In fact, I’m predicting we are going to see another sharp recession in the U.S. during this time and the DOW Jones could very well drop back down below the 9,000 mark as a result. No doubt about it, the outlook is UGLY everywhere you look.

But I strongly believe that if these events come to fruition, this is only going to secure Obama’s defeat. And it won’t be the end of the line for us or western civilization. The United States of America has proven time and time again what a resilient nation of people we are. We’ve not only survived a Revolutionary War, an extremely bloody Civil War, a Great Depression, World Wars I & II, a Cold War, and 9/11, but we’ve emerged stronger than ever before after each of these challenges. Thus, I continue to remain positive, upbeat, and vigilant despite the current dismal state of the nation.

The country does not have the character it did before Johnson’s “Great Society”. The proof is that we did NOT emerge stronger than ever after 9/11. We lost our freedom. I say that as a frequent flyer. The nation is still divided. Sadly.

Regarding the nation, I defer to what I heard a pastor say about 25 years ago: “Where would the early church have been if they had put their faith in Rome?”

Countries come and go. This one had a good run.
