You do understand how elections work, don’t you?

Ten million more people voted for Obama than for Cain.

At least 5 million of them need to be persuaded to switch, or 10 million of them to just stay home.

And “No, we’ll just get the base out” is a a laughable alternative.

Just out of curiosity, do you think McCain lost because he wasn’t conservative enough?

Remember, what matters isn’t the popular vote for the Presidential election; it’s the electoral college. Popular vote didn’t help Al Gore a bit.

McCain lost because he was for/against everything/nothing......like a typical politician with no core values.

If McCain was a real conservative who could articulate and defend his positions, then he would have fared far, far better.

McCain could not secure his own party base. He only did that after nominating Palin.

We need a strong conservative voice who can articulate and defend the ideology.....not someone who will waffle and cut deals (Romney)
