The problem with Newt, and with many of the other candidates, is that they are professional politicians and THOSE are the jokers who have gotten us into the mess we are in as a Nation. They go to Washington, or to their State Capitols, and they make deals, they schmooze, they compromise and I'm here to tell you, that it is the COMPROMISING that has brought us to the edge of whether we survive or not as a society.
Sure, Newt is the smartest guy in the room, he debates well, he presents his arguments convincingly but he remains PART OF THE PROBLEM because he is just as immersed in that inside-the-Beltway culture as his peers are.
As to asserting that Herman Cain lacks experience? Go to my post #280 and review that experience, and compare it to that 'community organizer' we have in the White House right now, then ask yourself who you would choose to lead this Nation?
As other posters have pointed out, why do we only see the most rabid attacks directed at the likes of Sarah Palin, and now: Herman Cain?
Here's your clue: THOSE individuals are the ones who scare the bejesus out of the 'Rats and their leftist enablers throughout America.

That's it exactly. You have too remember this about Newt's debating skills as well. Hillary Clinton can also do Conservative talk in a Conservative venue. IF Newt had simply ran for governor and sat in that office for four years reestablishing himself as a conservative I would consider him based on that record. Newt's Conservative credentials by his own recent {meaning Post-Congress} actions STINK!!!! What has he done too prove anything? I don't trust the man.
