The Question Of Military Action Is Moot
NRO-The Corner ^ | 11-30-2011 | John Hood

I guess U.S. and Western politicians has been treading carefully around the reality of the situation, perhaps for good reason, but does the political class really think the rest of us don’t know what’s happening in Iran right now? The Israelis or agents acting in their behalf or interests are subjecting the Iranian nuclear program to attack. First they hit a base outside of Tehran two weeks ago, taking out the head of Iran’s missile defense force along with a couple dozen other military personnel and some key real estate. Then on Monday they hit a facility near Isfahan that houses one of the country’s uranium-enrichment sites.

Presumably, American leaders and other Western officials know what is going on, even if they haven’t been actively supporting the strikes on Iran. In response, the Iranian government orchestrated an assault on the British embassy — there being no comparable Israeli or American target handy — and will attempt terrorist or military reprisals as soon as they can.

If they can hold out until the Cretin-in-Chief cheats, lies, and blackmails (great pun possibility here) himself into winning in ‘12, they’ll be in the fat city.

We’ll probably just give them our military secrets, assist them in attacking Israel, and watch while the world’s biggest mosque is constructed adjacent to the White House.

Iran has been at war with the USA and the rest of the western world since November 4, 1979. Indeed one of the leaders of the "student" occupation of the embassy is reputed to be the President of Iran.

The war has ebbed and flowed. Battles have been fought on various fields and by various proxies. It continues to this day.

Iran is calling it all accidents. We should send OSHA to help them. Then they would never finish building the weapons. LOL.

You suppose they haven’t all their MSDSs in order? Tsk Tsk OSHA would shut them down quick for that!

Iran has never had to defend against sneaky attacks like this. Why, because they sponsor and train terrorists to do this kind of stuff. They don't defend against it.

Now they only wish they had terrorists this proficient.

Massoud Rules. They Make the CIA look like toddlers in a swamp navigating around a mud puddle on a rainy day.

When OSHA tested against the Maximum EL for radiation exposure, workers would be required to be at the plant no longer than 6 minutes a day.

And how about this emergency egress sir? Where is your EAP (Emergency Action Plan)? Who is the qualified person in charge of Hazmat logistics? Do you have your 40 hr cert.? That guy is 10 feet above the floor and is not tied off. This joker isn't wearing a face shield for eye protection. Are those the right gloves for extracting uranium rods? This sprinkler head is within 18" of this exit sign. We'll have to consult the fire marshall about that during his inspection. Have you done an environmental impact study?

It’s a great idea, the revolutionary guard is probably full of Mossad agents without a doubt, and they are using terrorist tactics against Iran. It must really annoy the Iranians that the israelis are playing them at their own game, but are doing a better job of it LOL!

Pure speculation here but why could they not be using stealth drones with very high explosives on board? Remember the Tom Clancy book about the drug war where they dropped the cellulose encased bomb on the Cartel compound?

Just brainstorming this but it could certainly be effective against aboveground facilities like this one. The hardest part would be concealing the evidence of the delivery platform.

I know Israel has it’s own dreamworks program. Just saying...

Iran has been killing American soldiers in Iraq and Afganistan for years with O response.
We sit and do little but wring our hands.

That is largely true when it comes to “up front” confrontation, but “black ops” is not just a video game for kids, they really happen. The military is a complex beast with many different heads yearning to push, pull or prod itself in different directions. A few things I can guess at....
There are parts of the military ready to respond in the event that Israel and Iran go “hot”.
There are parts of the military/political leadership that is prepared for “plausible deniability” if some things go South.
Most of what goes on, though, is kept from most of us through subtrifuge and smoke.

Am Yisrael Chai (The People of Israel Live):

The people of Israel live.
Our father yet lives.

May he who makes peace
in the high places
make peace for us,
and for all the people of Israel
and say Amen.

Most interesting is the fact Iran is not directly accusing anyone of attacking them.

It COULD be these are coincidences, but it's more likely Iran simply does not know what the method of attack is, or it's origin.

If the latter, they must be very, very afraid...personally afraid.

This is some sweet stuff here.

Two explosions at similiar type facilities is an amazing coincidence at least. If a third facility accidentally blows up, there are no coincidences. I will be anxious to see Imadinnafag’s response.

I did see something a few days ago about explosions (extremely high pressure) being part of “an enrichment process.” But I don’t know where I saw it or why Iran would blow up its facilities and kill scientists and generals to disguise it. Also, I can’t find anything else on that on google. So maybe I dreamed it.
