Ahh so you’ll trust the word of a proven low life.

I don't know that I trust her word. If a person is in an affair with a married person, he/she already has character flaws which led her to make such a choice. Someone who makes bad choices in one area is likely to make them in other areas. In this case, I don't think that her not telling her ex-lesbian partner about Cain gives enough information to say one way or the other.

Just like the former mayor of Detroit, the text messages should clear things up. If there was an affair, let's see the texts.

You are giving credence to unsubstantiated charges made by a person of proven low character.

I'm concerned about his taste in women... either friends or lovers. What does it say about him that he chooses irresponsible half crazy types - or as you say - women of 'proven low character'? His wife and daughters are wonderful - smart, pretty, loving - together... His 'friends' or mistresses are nuts... That extreme 'light side/dark side' thing is too much. He's out of high school, right?

Lotsa armchair quarterbacks out here in la la land, with our own opinions about what Cain should and shouldn’t do and how he should or shouldn’t handle this and so forth.

Well THIS armchair quarterback thinks:

1. Mrs. Cain has had to handle these allegations by herself, back at home, and has only had phone conversations with Cain.

2. Cain did the right thing by honoring his campaign appearances that were on the books when this hit.

3. Cain put his attorney on it, and the attorney is moving full speed ahead.

4. Cain is making the right decision to stop the Cain Train for a pause, just long enough to go home, meet with his family face-to-face, and learn whether he has their full and complete support to continue or not. He must take care of the homefront first, and that means family. The campaign can afford a few days to get the Engine back on track.

5. I believe his family will support him, after they spend the weekend together, praying, and looking him in the eye, and knowing he is being truthful.

6. I believe next week will be full steam ahead for the Cain Train.

And obviously, I believe I have been wrong before, and I could be wrong here! Time will tell. :-)

Sounds like poor Gloria wasn’t involved in any financial decisions of the family’s money.

How do you know that? Have you had a conversation with Gloria in which she denied knowing Herman knew Ginger White and that he was helping her with some money? Let's let Gloria speak for herself.

Choosing to help a person having hard times is Christian and is not the same as sleeping with them. Whatever his status on the election Cain was trying to help her. Shame on you

You are mistaken in your assumptions.

If that is the case, and I sincerely hope that it is, then Herman Cain will be vindicated. Until then, I am just waiting and watching, hopeful now that there is at least one more candidate in the works that I can vote for.

Short of the women coming out and they saying they lied, I don’t thing there will be any vindication. I don’t think the individuals behind the attack expected as many to shrug of the nonsense that the women put out there. The people joining the Cain train shown on his site seem to have increased over the past through days.

When Allred showed up with the accuser behind door #1, that was a WTF for me. Now we have a lesbian woman who Cain has helped show up. I don’t view those acts of charity as besmirching Cain. I know others that have done the same thing without any thought of the kind of salacious payback many think was the motive.

Certainly the polls have shown Cain’s support but has taken a hit. It’s shameful some of his supporters are so willing to accept innuendo. I don’t want to see another let’s make a deal politician like Romney or Gingrich running. RINOs get us nowhere accept farther along with the Democrat agenda. They’ve been slowly ruining this country for decades.

Cain is a major wrench in their spokes. I consider him to be the best candidate to return this country to greatness. Both Gingrich and Romney will get us another four years of Obama.

Mistaken in my assumptions? So Jesus has filed paperwork?

Because you certainly were giving a proven lowlife the benefit of the doubt.

Leave Jesus out of this! Herman Cain, whether guilty or innocent of adultery, is going to have a hard time surviving this crisis in his campaign. Find someone else to fawn over.

I agree with everything that you have said. My candidate was Sarah Palin, so now I am just trying to see what sifts out of the rest of the pack that may be worth voting for. That said, I will never vote for Romney under any circumstances, will have a hard time voting for Rick Perry or Newter, would feel better about Herman Cain if there was not so much clamor about infidelity (there is always a little truth in an attack of deceit), not much better about Bachmann. If I have to, I’ll vote for a Conservative congress and Senate and leave the POTUS pick blank.

Sure these false charges have had a very large negative impact on his campaign, thats true. Which is why it angers me to see so-called conservatives give credence to the accusers when they have all been proven false so far to date.

Its obviously a hatchet job and should be treated as such.

I have a long standing rule that I broke this time and that is to never pick a candidate early in the campaign cycle(look at the heart break over Sarah Palin). Whether Herman Cain is innocent or guilty is not the issue; he mis-handled the crisis and is suffering the consequences. Now it is time to just wait and see what comes of it.
