Local Tea Party Members Changing Tone on Cain (The media have defeated Cain. I'm sad)
My Fox Atlanta ^ | November 30th | Paul Yates

ATLANTA - Tea Party activists have been among the strongest supporters of Herman Cain, but a co-founder of the Atlanta Tea Party said she's changed her mind about a candidate she had defended.

"I think he should withdraw from the race at this point but that decision is for Herman and his family to make," said Atlanta Tea Party leader Debbie Dooley.

Dooley said she was troubled by Cain's denials following the FOX 5 I-Team report on Ginger White and her story of 13-year-long affair with Cain. White pointed to phone records showing repeated calls and text messages between the two.

"A reasonable person would assume that he has not been exactly forthright and completely honest about his relationship with her," said Dooley.

My dad was a businessman. After he passed, people started coming forward to our family, to tell us that my dad had helped them financially over the years. There were all sorts of people — men, women, young people, old people, church people, you name it. Our family had no clue that this had been going on.

This gave me some perspective when Ginger White appeared in the media. To me, it appeared Cain was simply trying to help someone down on their luck, as my dad had done over the years. Sure enough, Cain says he has given money to others too. And why not? As a former CEO, he’s probably well off.

I also don’t see why it’s a big deal whether Cain has told his wife about this. Too bad Ginger White turned out to be a wacko, eager for her 15 minutes of fame. I do not believe there was anything between them, other than him helping her financially.

By the way I’m a long time lurker here (over a decade) and finally decided to register to post this. So please be kind.

If the title is true, don’t you think that Herman Cain bears some responsibility? Even if the entire situation is completely innocent, we still ask why he kept this secret from his wife. Herman Cain created the situation.

Here's a scandal for you.

I have records of over 450 emails and multiple cell phone calls to and from a man who is not my husband!

This must be proof positive that we're having an affair, I'm sure.

[annoying buzzer] Nope. We're good friends, Hubby likes him too, and that's it. And no, he's not in my family, but I wish he were.

I agree with your comments. I am staying with Cain until the charges against him are PROVEN or he stops the train himself. I refuse to let rumor and false accusations sway my mind without concete proof.

Hey shimbo: try walking in Cain’s shoes for a minute. What if you were running for School Board President or something and several women came up with a bunch of crap (totally untrue and unfounded) against you. What would YOU do?

Herman Cain defeated Herman Cain, not the media, nor the accusations from the women. Many of us once thought he might be the one, but he proved he is not ready for prime time.

We stand together then. The weak sisters and the easily swayed can spew their expedient babble, if this were the Reagan campaign of '80, they would already have joined up with GHWB after the Iowa caucuses and began clamoring for the Gipper to drop his bid for the nomination, like the cowards they are.

Mr. Cain is not just a good speaker; many people who have known him personally for years as friends and colleagues have attested to his good character, while the four women who have accused him have all proven to have questionable motives. I stand by my assertion Mr. Cain is being smeared by his political opponents.

Wait a minute - we knew whis was going to get ugly and here we are. Those who have wanted Cain out of this race have pulled out all the stops. He is a proven fixer and that is what America needs.

Only oen laughing is Obama. he now knows the GOP won’t be united and the tea party will focus its energy on tearing down the GOP. And third party candidates will emerge.

The focus has to be on capturing the senate.
