MSNBC Mocks Cain Announcement With Derisive Laughter: 'Bizarre Charade, Freak Show'
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 12/04/2011 7:04:51 AM PST by governsleastgovernsbest

Check out the screengrab after the jump. Before Chris Hayes uttered word one of commentary about Hermain Cain's speech suspending his campaign, he reacted with derisive laughter. Hayes, host of a weekend MSNBC show, was serving as analyst on Alex Witt's show as they broke down the Cain announcement.

Hayes went on to mock Cain and his speech as a "bizarre charade" and a "freak show," along the way laughing once more, this time at the notion Cain might have a career as a motivational speaker.

This is a VERY VERY powerful MSM flexing their muscle. They most certainly not on a deathwatch. As is pandered here at FR on a nauseatingly daily basis.

I wonder who got to her to have her ‘come out’ on this at this moment. And who do you think SHE voted for last election?

I feel sorry most for Mrs. Cain, who seems like a decent, very privae person. She didn’t deerve any of this...anf that’s how they got to Herman. Our loss, the Left’s gain. Now who will they salivate for.

I’ll tell you what, now that the candidacy is over, we’ll see how this shakes out. I hope he turns his lawyer loose on all these women...no reason not to at this point.

I wish the Cain family well, they deserved better. And curse the media in this country for what they have done to the public information process that they have uttery diminished, if not totally destroyed. May they share the same fate as the Goebbels’ and Baghdad Bobs’ of this time.

Yes, and don’t be fooled. No matter who we select, they’ll be back to tear them apart too.

I actually think this was more “celebratory” than anything. They were probably doing high-fives off camera.

Copy that. Let's say, for a moment, that Cain was having an affair with White all these years and that he was giving her money on a monthly basis, as she claims.... I cannot fathom how a woman could treat this man so cruelly when he was so good to her. A mistress for 13 years...? With absolutely no love for the man...? I'm being human, here...just sayin'....

Not too far fetched if she is an opportunistic liberal. It would be interesting to find out if she or any of the others have profitted from the accusations.

You know why the Left are laughing at us? Because they know they can still beat us...and indeed will beat us in 2012.

When “conservatives” joined Politico in their hit piece against Cain, I knew the template was set for our destruction as a party and nation.

We’ve brought this on ourselves.

...in their arrogance, they really think they are above the common man because they see the inner workings of something they conceal from the public.

It may be nothing more than that they have have been promised Nirvana - direct government subsidy of journalists - in return for unswerving support of the welfare state. But the welfare state has to get big enough to afford them, first - that's why they react with screeching panic every time a politician suggests shrinking it.

“bizarre charade, freak show.”

That's any show that includes Chris Hayes.

The MSM are laughing because they won thanks to RINOs throwing Cain under the bus. Republicans should have supported Cain but instead turned their backs on him like cowardly dogs. The most vocal anti-Cain folks were RINO uncle toms that work for the MSM.

Maybe, but you can be sure that they were doing everything they could to attack Cain. This is their little victory dance.

A cable TV station with Ed Schultz, Maddow and Scarborough calls Cain’s announcement a freak show? Really?

Herman Cain made the PMSNBC comments pale in comparison to what I have called this fraud. My candidate IS NOT judged with a Democratic yardstick.

Then let me ask you something....

Of all the candidates out there, who can take a hit the best?

Romney? They’ll go after his faith incessantly to label him a racist.

Santorum, BAchman etc? Don’t think they can take a hit.

Newt? He’s used to it, and I think knows they’ll get worse. Newt will focus on the issues. IF it gets into a personal thing, then so be it. Obama has much to hide also, college transcripts etc etc

I think Newt is our strongest candidate right now.

Until you’ve been the subject of an attack like Cain and Palin you’ll never know how insidious and debilitating it is. It sucks the wind out of your sails no matter how much determination you have. Cain claims he’s still going to be an advocate for America. So has Palin in her way. Both had to remove themselves from the bullseye.

Unfortunately the psychological war conducted against Cain leveraged human weakness. No matter what we hear or read, subconscious factors kick in that affect our judgement. The age group polling demonstrated that. It takes someone who’s mentally tough to get past that stuff. Many cannot. Cain suffered as a result.

I think it was telling that so many people were demanding proof that he did not commit the deeds. On a post at another site, a woman went ballistic over the sexual harassment aspects. She was really pissed at Cain. There was no judgement there except a foregone conclusion and instant anger at the perceived offender.

I’ve seen that personally. Locally we have a woman predisposed to false allegations. I’ve seen her unfounded allegations trigger similar reactions in other women. I think women are very likely to have experienced harassment at some point. Society in advocating political correctness has blurred many lines. What may have been shrugged off in the past, now gets more attention.

Add to that a lack of critical thinking and you have an easily manipulated public. When the pack instinct kicks in the accused is dead meat.

First they came for Cain, and I said nothing because I didn’t support Cain.
Then they went after Newt, and I said nothing because I didn’t support Newt;

The Rats and their operatives have a lot of these women in the can for any Republican candidate, now it will be Newt’s turn.

Also, never underestimate the stupidity of the American people. They were stupid enough to vote for him once, they'll be stupid enough to vote for him again.

IF, and it's a big IF, as rumor has it he dumped her when he started the campaign, she ceased being his mistress and became a woman scorned, with all that entails.
