Second Earth Found? Location Is Promising

Even if true, given the age of the universe and the fact that there are likely trillions of planetary systems orbiting tens of hundreds of billions of star systems, it's quit likely other similar venues exist in the universe, in extremely large numbers.

Or not.

There could be trillions of Venus-like planets and no other Earth-like planets. Or there could be trillions of planets almost identical to Earth in every detail, but each missing one or two out of trillions of essential elements and combinations of conditions that were required for the evolution of life on Earth. Or we might find some form of life on several planets or moons in our own solar system.

It is like the old adage that if you had an infinite number of monkeys typing on an infinite number of typewriters they would eventually produce all of the works of Shakespeare. It could be that it took an infinite number of planets orbiting an infinite number of stars to produce life. Or not.

The fact that life exists on Earth is no evidence that it exists anywhere else. Until we actually find life somewhere else, we can only speculate how common or rare life may be in the universe.

Of course. Since primitive man is not even capable, and has yet to even visit it nearest planetary neighbor, yes everything is speculation at this point.

However it's my personal hunch, the universe has a substantial amount of life, outside this tiny planet which we happen to be riding on. Man is so primitive, at this point, all he can do is speculate about such things.
