Hate to break it to you, Evangelicals and other Christian groups are for Newt. (Some Christians ACT Christian and don't judge or hold against someone actions of decades ago. They understand 'redemption.'
Newt has NEVER been a Washington insider. He's not a card-carrying member of the Ivy League trained puppets of the Establishment Republican Elitists like Rove, Kraught, Coulter, etc. who decide each election, who our candidate will be. This time, it's Romney. And then can't believe it's not working.
And that is because of NEWT. He didn't go to Harvard or Yale. Gasp. He got his doctorate from a college in Georgia.
The Establishment Cabal doesn't own him. That's why they are frightened by him - and Sarah. The last non-Cabal president was Reagan. They hated him but the American people woke up and elected THEIR choice.
Then Newt later became speaker and swept a record number of republicans to the House, taking it over for the first time in 40 years. He balanced the budge 4 yrs in a row - the first time in our lifetimes. etc etc/
He was a thorn in the side of not only the Republican Establishment but the demRats and the media. This evil Triumvirate went on a witch hunt to oust him. 84 ethics charges - (he was exonerated from all.)
Now here he comes again. And he's running away from The Cabal's candidate: Romney. They are in shock. They know if he gets in, that will spell the death knell of their power - the bubbles in their champagne will go flat.
With Reagan, who was able to accomplish so much, they were able to make him take one of theirs - GHWB - for VP and appoint their card-carrying member to most posts. They know Newt will NOT.
Newt has already signaled he may tap Col. West for VP - (far from a Ivy League trained Cabal member - and he wants Bolton for sec. of State. They know he'll probably tap Sarah for her expertise to spearhead "Drill Here, Drill Now' -
so all of Evil Triumvirate are having nightmares of loosing their power. And they know, this time, they won't get it back.
WE have to realize that Newt is coming under attack from all three sides.
This time, We the People are going to decide our candidate. More people realize this in NOT just another election. This is an election that will determine our very freedoms.
In Newt, they see an experienced statesman with a record of balancing the budget and creating millions of jobs - and who knows who our enemies are - "foreign and domestic".
They see in him a president that can hit the ground running on DAY ONE. He will have up to 200 EO's printed and ready to sign on that FIRST DAY = that will immediatly dismantle about 45 % of what obama has done. And he will appoint other experienced people who can start on Day One.
We don't have time for a president and team to 'get up to speed'. It's too late to get up to speed after you've run off the cliff.

Bottom line: This election, the American People have woken up. They know who the real enemies are now - the Evil Triumvirate: the Socialists, the media and the Establishment Republicans.

Not much choice choosing between Gingrich and Romney, but if I have to choose it will be Romney. Down deep in my gut Gingrich is not to be trusted, even less than Romney!
He's indicated he'd like Col. West for Veep and Col. West is open to it.
He said yesterday he's ask John Bolton to serve as Secretary of State - and Bolton, although, of course, can't say yes or no at this time, certainly didn't close the door.
I don't think Newt is going to need or take 'help' in choosing his team. He knows all the players and their strengths. I suspicion he already has his list made out and I don't think he's going to compromise with the Establishment. The Establishment Cabal needs to be put out to pasture -
And I think Sarah and the Tea Party will help him there. These Ivy League Elitists have been in power too long and are a big part of the problem.
I would love Col. West as VP.
I wished I trusted Newt. But he may be the best we can hope for now.

Newt has done some stupid things but he has NEVER backed abortion, homosexual “rights”, Romney/Obamacare nor backs gun-grabbing as Romney does.
