(vanity) Obama "Eric Holder, I forgive you"

Posted on 12/09/2011 5:32:01 PM PST by SMGFan

Isn't it entirely likely Obama will pardon Eric Holder for Fast & Furious sometime before he leaves office?

Plus, how far reaching could Obama pardon citizens of the US? Carter pardoned all of those draft dodgers. Are there no restrictions on Obama?

Just who do you think would charge and prosecute Holder in the first place? The DOJ?

Can’t congress charge him?

But yes, I don’t think there is a limit to the number or types of people he will pardon. Expect the most shocking in this case.

Can he pardon enmass, like all people on death row, or does it have to be specific people?

Constitution, Article II, Section 2, paragraph 1, in part:
he shall have Power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offenses against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment.

Yes. Interesting thought. What happens if he gets really, really mad and pardons everybody? Opens every prison and lets them all loose.

Let Holder fight until after Nov. 2012. No Pardon from The Messiah at that point. Same with all the Treasonous bastards in the Adminstration; go after 'em all AFTER 2012, and no Pardons would be forth-coming.

But then, RINO's still would abound, and the right thing won't happen.

Another reason that we should prosecute zero after he leaves office. Zero is a criminal and we will not rest until he is brought up on charges against the American people. The next administration will expose zero’s many crimes.
This s a fight to the finish and we must not spare our enemies - the Marxists must be destroyed by all means possible. Zero’s name must live in infamy, and his eternal destiny will be infinitely worse.

If the “except in cases of impeachment” clause doesn’t work, and not much in that document works with the current resident, then there is the charge of treason - that would be guaranteed to prevent any pardon, IF, it can be prosecuted to the fullest, and I emphasize “fullest”, extent of the law.
Yes, in that case, there would be no way to overturn this decision... it would be what one would certainly consider, “final”.

The optics of a pardon, would kill the demicomme party. If obambi tried to pull a pardon all the bastards cuse I’m having a petulant frenzy, the fed gov would, lose control of the Nat Guard and any chance of ever influencing internal criminal investigations. The FBI would be terminated. I bet the secret service would walk. You can get away with a lot as potus, do something treasonous and there is no place on earth you’ll be safe.

The only Constitutional restriction on the power of the Pardon is in the case of Impeachment. I suggest we test that limit.

I guess I am wrong, I always thought that the power of the pardon only applied to federal crimes i.e. the people of the united states, I wasn’t aware it applied to local or state crimes.....

Well, maybe Obama is not as bad as we might envision. ‘Cause you certainly can conclude where my mind is heading.

POTUS pardon power for Federal Offenses is near plenary. The only way to stop this bastid is to prove what we already know, that he is an illegitimate usurper who has never held the office legally for one second. But considering that those with the constitutional duty to do so refuse to examine even the basic objective facts militating against his being legit, that aint likely.
