My personal view is that Beck is heading toward some sort of combination mega-church and political oriented enterprise. He is certainly well along in setting up an infrastructure that would support something this.
An interesting character but he is completely misreading the tea leaves (along with Karl Rove and many others) vis a vis the rise of Newt Gingrich.
No exact specific information. Simply the general knowledge that it takes money for equipment and salaries to pay the technical people. I have heard two versions: one he is obtaining subscribers; two he is not. In general, many people have come to the conclusion that he is becoming crazier and crazier. I used to listen to him on the radio about 5 to 10 years ago and then he was more of a light humour type of radio host. When I looked in on him while he was on FOX he had become serious. Personally I don’t think he will last; who pays to hear a TV host? Usually we rely on sponsors to pick up the tab.
