Sarah Palin Fails To Find Buyer For Latest TV Show
Telegraph(UK) ^ | December 13, 2011 | Nick Allen

Sarah Palin Fails To Find Buyer For Latest TV Show Sarah Palin has so far failed to find a buyer for her latest television show idea in a further sign that her star is on the wane.

In the last few years Sarah Palin has made millions of dollars from two books and numerous public appearances By Nick Allen 13 Dec 2011

The former Republican vice presidential candidate's new proposed foray into reality TV would focus on her husband Todd's career as a champion snowmobile racer. It would be a follow up to "Sarah Palin's Alaska," an eight-part travelogue which was sold to The Learning Channel (TLC) for more than $1 million an episode and first broadcast in November last year.

That show followed the former Alaska governor and her family around the state, including footage of her shooting a caribou on a hunting trip, going on a deep sea fishing expedition, and visiting a logging camp. It broke ratings records for a first episode on TLC, drawing more than five million viewers. However, it dropped to three million for the second episode and received mixed reviews, with entertainment industry bible Variety commenting "Boring? You betcha".

Discovery Communications, which owns TLC, has not bought the latest idea for a Palin show. Cable and satellite broadcaster A&E Networks, which bid for the previous series, is also reportedly not interested.

From watching Palin’s recent actions and appearances, I’ve become confident that she is running from a troubling assignment from the Lord.

The Lord gave her Todd and five children, and, I'm quite sure, the home front was just not solid enough to permit what she obviously wanted to do.

And, knowing how the Lord looks at things (more or less), I'm also quite sure that her marriage and her children would take precedence in His eyes.

I’m not going to go around the forum and spout of about Palin on every Palin thread. I’m willing to give it a rest. I’ve pretty much given it a rest for years.

Are the Palin supporters as willing to give it a rest? I doubt it.

If Palin had gone through the steps to become a candidate this year, I might buy into your Founding Father’s vision premise.

At this point she’s nothing more than the annoying Aunt with the ear piercing voice in the back seat telling us how to drive.

Tell her to shut up and quit kicking my seat.

You had better have another choice besides Jimmyrick to fall back on because he will not pass scrutiny, and especially when some of his supporters make those nutcase Paulbots look more (eek) normal.

There were very racist comments on one thread that were generated by (the few but very nasty) Texas Perry supporters. It shocked me enough to tell them how they did not just disgrace themselves and other Texans, they disgraced FR, and I am sure that the DU’ers were waiting to post their racist rants about Herman Cain all over the Media sites. Is it any wonder that Perry got into trouble for that offensive sign? I did not blame him for that, but some of his friends who act like they are still fighting the civil war. Thank God most Texans are not at all like that, just the opposite.

Herman Cain did not self destruct, anymore than SP did, this was the Axelrod,Obummer,DNC,Soros Mafia at work paying people to lie. I am surprised that your bias for Perry has foiled your usual high level of insightful understanding ,especially political “win at any and all costs” dirty tricks. It boggles my mind.

Perry self destructed in dozens of ways, and
will continue, no wonder Newty is getting a lot more supporters, what a contrast.

I supported SP first,Herman Cain second, and Rick Santorum third,Bachmann is fourth. I would never support Gingrich,Perry,Paul or Huntsman. People are so depressed about the really lousy field of candidates that they are shedding all sense of decency in attacking others that do not support their candidate.

Thankfully, I have too much hard work to do everyday that keeps me from the nastiness, and also the non stop BS. Life is too short.

(Man, have you got it bad.....maybe palin is no more connected to the Lord and no more a part of His plans than anyone here)

Haven’t you heard the meme from the jilted Cainiacs...if you didn’t like him, you’re automatically a racist. Never mind his million flaws, stupid ideas, lack of general knowledge, and mind a twirling.

The jilted still hate Perry, but Perry is still hanging around and didn’t fold up like a cheap lawnchair like their idols.

My fallback guy has no chance. Rick Santorum. Who, you ask? My opinion of the field hasn’t changed. I don’t think of Sarah much now either, but if I did, it would remind me that we are all screwed. Enjoy life until the catastrophe arrives, I say. Bob

Calm down, don't dig youself in deeper. You forget that I found her Video, and Wally World has a huge selection in just the new CD’s,it took a while. I do not care if you consciously.or inadvertently searched for it. You had to search in order to know it was not there. The why is the problem. I wish you well, but look within yourself to answer that little puzzle.

I guess you cannot see the forest for the trees. You rearrange dates, facts, records to suit your own newly tainted ideas, and bias. I think you could rearrange the deck chairs on the Titanic, then go down with it still yammering, “she only served 8 months, and JD was perfect, and if she had not interferred he would have won in a landslide”.

I will say it again, something happened to you, I do not remember this really different behavior before.

Your reading comprehension really isn’t up to muster so late at night. As I said before, I wasn’t searching.

The discounted video isn’t at the store. But is available if someone in my community wants to order it online as a stocking stuffer.

It isn’t in my home and won’t be. I’ve never wanted to watch Bannon’s promotional fluff piece. I gathered all I needed to know about it by reading the raving reviews on FR. It sounded nauseating, so I passed.

Good evening.

Palin’s office threatened to sue, over that biography, but it went no further than that. No writ was served.

I guess you cannot see the forest for the trees.  I'm not surprised by your take on my comments.  I'm sure you do see it that way.  That's okay, I don't agree with you either.

You rearrange dates, facts, records...  I'm not sure why you would say that I am rearranging dates, facts, and or records.  I did say that Palin only served a year and a half as governor, because I forgot that she served until July of 2009.  It was my take that she had resigned earlier in 2009.  It was an honest mistake, and when you called me on it, I looked up the information and verified what the exact dates were, and admitted to being off by nine months.  I went so far as to link you to verification.  When you stated that Palin announced she would campaign for McCain prior to Hayworth stating publicly that he was going to run, I checked that out too.  While she did announce 48 hours before Hayworth did, I did call you on the fact that just about everyone knew Hayworth was getting ready to run.  It's hard to claim that Sarah simply didn't know he was going to run.  I also linked you to the verification of these dates.

It would seem to me that I discussed these issues frankly, honestly, and openly, admitting to being wrong and yet defending my own position without being unfair about it.  How many others are as open and willing to address exactly the points you made, even though the information with regard to one of my statements, was unflattering to me, whether it was an honest mistake or not?

...to suit your own newly tainted ideas, and bias.  I can assure you, I do not have newly tainted ideas and bias, as you referenced it.  I have not been a supporter of Palin in recent years.  I've been frank about my lack of support for her.  This isn't some new instance of sour grapes.

I think you could rearrange the deck chairs on the Titanic, then go down with it still yammering,...  Seems to me I've been very frank with you.  I have not taken you to task unfairly.  I have voiced my opinion.  You can mischaracterize that any way you like, but from years of experince here, you're not going to get a better more frank discussion here with anyone who disagrees with you.

“she only served 8 months, and...  I initially stated that she served a year and a half.  That's 18 months, not 8.  She actually served with hands on for 27 months.  I found the dates and provided them even though it didn't support my initial statement.  The thanks I get for being frank, is for you to slam me some more.

Did you go read the McCain data that I linked you to?  You didn't reference it here.  You referenced things in your prior post to me, and I tried to address you on each point you made.  I pointed you to important information that took me months to build, and you didn't even bother to admit it didn't look good at all.

...JD was perfect,...  I never said J. D. was perfect.  What's more, you know it.  I said that J. D. was slammed for doing three or four things wrong, and mentioned that McCain was on record for hundreds of things he had done wrong.  Once again, you didn't acknowledge that information at all.

...and if she had not interferred he would have won in a landslide”.  I did not say he would have won without her involvement, so the landslide embelishment is plain silly.  Had she endorsed Hayworth and helped him gain credibility which translates to large donations, he may have won.  That's all I can say for sure.

A guy spending $1.5 million is never going to look quite as clever as a guy who spends $20 million on a campaign.  That's a fact of life.  I still can't imagine why McCain didn't win by 10 to 1 though.  Perhaps you have an answer for that.

I will say it again, something happened to you,...  Something happens to me all the time.  I read.  I put what I read together with what I've read before.  I look at people, what they are doing, and what they are up to.  I DO NOT want to see Sarah Palin trying to guide the American public to vote for certain candidates of her choosing, after her blowing the McCain re-election endorsement the way she did.  She is trying to position herself to be a mover and a shaker in 2012, a king maker.  She isn't savvy enough to be a king-maker.

Back to whether she got McCain re-elected or not... I find it hilarious to watch folks claim she got all the Conservatives who won elected in 2010, then deny she could possibly have gotten McCain elected on her own.  If she deserves credit for all the Conservatives elected, doesn't she at least deserve honorable mention for getting McCain elected?

I do not remember this really different behavior before.  It has always been my modus operandi to call em as I see em, and let the chips fall where they will.  Anything you remember to the contrary, is either a problem of comprehension or recall.

If palin had gone to court then every allegation in the book would have been fair game by both sides...iow...if some of them were true then the palins would have been on the spot in a very public forum.

A few here have noted that the announcement of the lawsuit to nowhere was followed awfully close by her announcement not to announce and have posited that there is a correlation between the two.

samantha, you are probably wise to do other things as you are obviously still too hung up on Cain and bitter to enjoy Free Republic.

I won’t say what I think about Cain and I did not say anything negative (much) on Cain threads before he bailed.

But for you to imply that people who didn’t like Cain were racist is just rude and silly.

I actually liked Cain before he did some things that made me take a second look, but even when I liked him I never thought he was qualified to be president.

I don’t know what sign you are talking about but to my knowledge Rick Perry has never said anything derrogatory about Cain, the opposite is true. Cain used every opportunity to diss Perry, no one knows why he had that much hate for Perry.

I was for Sarah Palin also, but she’s gone and Cain’s gone, so please look around to find someone you think will beat Obama.
