Glenn came under attack from the progressive wing of the GOP establishment over the weekend for comments he made on Judge Napolitano’s “Freedom Watch” on Fox News. In the segment, he pointed out that he sees few differences between Newt Gingrich and Barack Obama. Both big government progressives.
Glenn told Napolitano, “If you have a big government progressive, or a big government progressive in Obama… ask yourself this, Tea Party: is it about Obama’s race? Because that’s what it appears to be to me. If you’re against him but you’re for this guy, it must be about race. I mean, what else is it? It’s the policies that matter.”
And now, of course, they media is trying to spin this as “Glenn Beck calls the Tea Party a bunch of racists.”

I wouldn’t call Breitbart and Mark Levin, etal, “the media” in the usual sense of the word.
Beck is beginning to look like a fool. He is off his rocker.
A**hole, it is about Obama's action. Even if a Republican candidate only provides a speed-bump in the move left, it is still slowing things down to stop this change. The fact is, no matter who the candidate is on the right (with a couple of exceptions), they will know they were voted in to stop things like Obamacare. They know they will have to run another re-election in four years and they must pander to those who voted them in if they expect to be re-elected.
Even a Swishy Republican will pander to the right for the first four years if they want to be re-elected.
There is nothing more dangerous though than Obama being re-elected.
He will have no more elections to campaign on.
He knows the following four years are it to accomplish all he wants.
He will see a re-election as a permission slip blank check from the public to do whatever he wants.
He will most likely have a friendly house and senate behind him because it is about turn-out.
He will have four more years to pack the courts, including the supreme court, with lifetime appointments to continue his agenda for decades...
...and so on and so on..
If he doesn't see the danger of Obama being re-elected and the major relative difference between even our 'worst' and Obama, he is living in a fantasy world.

Beck was actually starting to grow on me until recently. At first, I thought he was just a clown, then I started watching his TV show, especially Founder’s Friday and I was won over. The Blaze seemed like it would be a great new, news site, but since he left his TV show and syndicated radio program and started working for himself, he has been sounding a lot more like Alex Jones than Rush Limbaugh.

I can’t believe Glen has become such a paultard, and said such stupid things. It’s pretty pitiful for him to make comments that he doesn’t even believe himself, in an attempt to raise Ron Paul’s chances. He’s disturbed.

It was Sarcasim. Not a funny one for sure but it was just sarcasim.
Beck is just asking the question of the TEA Party why the man crush on Newt all of a sudden? And why you could not get a kind word from TEA Party members about Newt when Cain and Perry were on top and Newt was in the single digits.
It’s one thing to have to support the guy because no one else has caught fire. But it’s quite another to get amnesia about all the reasons you did not like Newt a few months ago.
