In a Rasmussen poll released on Monday- "Romney with 45% of the vote to Obama’s 42%. Even Ron Paul was polling only 8 pts behind Obama. I said it before and I will say it again Newt is not going to get the women's vote.

Or anyone that can accept the fact he is NOT Presidential caliber.

Even the worst President America has EVER seen bets Gingrich in the polls.

Like I said earlier. A vote for NEWT is a vote for OBAMA.

“I said it before and I will say it again Newt is not going to get the women’s vote.”

Even if he promises and crosses his heart not to cheat on his current wife, and dsays he will not treat voters like he treated his other wives.

Okay, then. Call off the election.

willk has determined what the results will be 10 months before an actual vote gets cast.

Sure glad you were here, willk.

Under withering attack from the establishment Republicans, no wonder. This is the mid-90’s all over again. Who passed the Contract With America, produced balanced budgets 4 years, drove Welfare Reform, pushed tax reform, and was Speaker of the House when the economy blasted off after the 94 election? I am not in love with all things Newt, but this attack from the moderates will take us all down.

Even under a totally divided GOP base, Newt is within 10 points, and Obama is still under 50%. These polls are crap.

Gingrich is under attack by both the Republican and Democrat Establishments while Obama is not.

If Romney gets the GOP nomination, he will not have the smooth ride you imagine. The Establishment will turn on him just as they did on John McCain after building him up.

Wait until Newt creams Obummer in the debates. Tad bit early to be counting Newt out when the campaign hasn’t even started.

Newt = Obama second term. Women. Will not vote for him!

Romney or Hunts is better than newt if we are forced to pick a RINO.

10 points down. Just about where Reagan was to Carter at this point in 1979. Once people focus on the incumbent, pretty much ANY Republican will have a cake-walk.

...other than Romney, who almost guarantees us a Third Party run by a conservative.

I probably lean Perry right now, but Newt is better than Mitt.

Newt is now getting the “treatment” that Cain got last month, which Palin got ay the start of the year. Their lust for power is insatiable, and the Establishment going all out to make sure that no outlier displaces “their”candidates.

” I said it before and I will say it again Newt is not going to get the women’s vote.”

Women have always voted 60-40 democrat. Republicans have never relied on the women’s vote to win.

This poll tells us absolutely nothing. Or at least no more than a poll taken of the republican field several months ago, or even just a month ago, would have told us who’d be on top right now in the republican race. Where was Newt then? Where was Perry? Where was Cain? I know at some point Perry was on top, so was Cain. But up until a few weeks ago Newt was nowhere to be seen. Besides, what has propelled Newt to the top has been his performances in the debates. Therefore, there is no way to judge how well he would do against Obama until after they have debated one another. Furthermore, let’s not forget that Newt is NOT running for president at the moment. He is solely focused on winning the republican nomination. Obviously if he becomes the nominee his strategy will subsequently change (and that goes for everyone else too).

Remember when Gingrich was 5% with REPUBLICAN voters? He has room to grow. Obama does not.

what is most distressing is that a near majority of Americans would once again vote for the Marxist! Astounding. Of course, I do have relatives who think Obama is the smartest and greatest President ever.

With so many Americans ignorant of tyranny, I do not have much hope that our Republic can once again turn towards Liberty.

Statists at ALL levels of government are on a relentless march towards all out government control -- they will bring evil upon our land. May God give us the wisdom and the strength to defeat the evil that is all around us.

Reagan didn’t pass Carter in the polls until September 1980, two months before the election.
