If we buy the world a coke, will they write down some of our debt?

Big bloody deal - they endorsed Obama in 2008.

Which indicates they think Romney cannot and/or should not beat him.

I have no use for Romney, but he would be light years better than a second term of Zero.

Obama will carry Iowa again, unless Grassley really starts a fire with Fast and Furious.

As a news reporter of more than 30 years, I can tell you that newspaper endorsements are rarely very influential. That was so in the past and especially nowadays in the midst of prolific multi-media communication.

It looks like it will be Romeny all the way,...

Did you happen to see the movie 'Moonstruck'? Where Cher slapped the sh*t out of Nicolas Cage? And then stated "SNAP OUT OF IT"?

That's what I would do to you if we were in the same room...

A “newspaper” endorsed a RINO??? I’m absolutely shocked! Of course; I ALWAYS vote for the candidate that the newspaper endorses...they are so much SMARTER than I am.

Live link to the endorsement:

The Des Moines Register’s GOP caucus endorsement: Mitt Romney is best to lead

Boy, what can you say about such a milquetoast endorsement: Romney exhibits sobriety, wisdom and judgment, and then the article goes on to explain what they mean. No excitement there.

However, they call Gingrich "an undisciplined partisan who would alienate, not unite" if he repeats his mean-spirited attacks as he did as House speaker.

Finally, they say that Romney will offer a clear choice vs. Obama if he is the GOP nominee. Sorry Register, not many of us believe it, not for a minute.

If Rubio runs with a dud like Romney and they lose, the establishment RINOSs will dump on Rubio the way they dumped on Palin.

Palin didn’t cost McStupid the election.

She is the reason he didn’t get blown out by a larger margin.

McCain was drawing hundreds to his rallies while she was drawing thousands to hers.

The same would happen with a Romney/Rubio ticket.

Romney’s got loser written all over him.

He couldn’t catch fire with the base if he bathed in Napalm and had a lit road flare in each hand.

Big deal. Republicans who cast their votes vote based on newspaper endorsements are already supporting Romney.

Agree, but the other MSM and the newly partisan Fox cheerleaders for Romney will slurp it up like a bear with honey.
