Palin says not too late to consider presidential run
Reuters – 15 hrs ago

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Tea Party champion Sarah Palin, who has already ruled out a 2012 presidential run, on Monday attempted to dangle her name anew as a possible Republican candidate, although it's probably too late.

In an interview to air on Fox Business Network's "Follow the Money" program, the 2008 Republican nominee for vice president was asked whether she would still consider a run for the White House.

"It's not too late for folks to jump in," Palin said. "Who knows what will happen in the future."

Sarah Palin in talks for ‘Alaska’ Season 2

http://www.nypost.com/p/entertainment/tv/sarah_palin_in_talks_for_alaska_avDhXUM2jCL8ZOXR40tlHM

Sarah Palin is ready to get back to work — as a reality TV star.

Producer Mark Burnett says he is in discussions with TLC to bring “Sarah Palin’s Alaska” back for a second season next fall.

“The plan would be to shoot this in the summer of 2012,” he tells The Post.

New episodes of the outdoorsy reality series — which shows the former vice-presidential candidate fishing, hunting and dog sledding with her family — would not air until after the November presidential election.

“By the time we edit it, the election will be over,” Burnett says. “But I am sure the election would be mentioned [in the show].”

Palin is right. Governor Mitch Daniels could decide to throw his hat in the ring. It isn’t too late.

Mark Burnett is her business partner in this process. He's being quoted and is a reliable source. He would know her plans.

Last week there were reports that her pitch for another realityTV series was declined.

Maybe she has some free time on her hands now.

No should mean NO, not maybe. She made her decision in the minds of voters.

I’m with you. What we have running for office right now are politicians. We don’t need anymore politicians, we need a patriot who is disconnected from money, power, elitism and plugged into the very heart of America.

This is what has always been so appealing about Sarah.

I’ve long said that Sarah will be a third party candidate. The Ross Perot of the 2012 election cycle.

-——Perhaps Palin actually is as smart, as many of us thought she is.——

That is likely true but is trumped by her dithering. Perhaps dithering is actually teasing. Whichever, her tease has made her unnominateable much less electable in the current campaign.

As a Cain man, I currently have no candidate.

I like Newt and I like Rick. Either would make a strong President even though they do not toe the line of fervent conservatives

Read the link below.

Mark Burnett (the producer) says that the show about Todd was not correct. The show about Todd is really an episode within the second season of “Sarah Palin’s Alaska.”

this is pretty much how I see things as well. she thought the nomination process would produce a good candidate and that the country would be in good hands. she may realize now that that’s not the case and she needs to fix it.

Palin says not too late to consider presidential run

"It's not too late for folks to jump in," Palin said. "Who knows what will happen in the future."

Maybe she's not referring to herself. Does she have a squeaky clean rockstar candidate ready to jump into the fray?

If "duty called"?

You gotta be kidding me. NOBODY runs for President because "duty calls." People run for President because they have unbelievably massive egos and want the job.

She was going 90 miles and hour towards running in the primary then hit the brakes. Why I don’t know what it is but there is something there.

I don't think it is that hard to figure out if you look at events at that time...

The McGinnis book had just come out. Todd did not dispute the stories in the book but did declare that the author was a liar - very political "what is, is" kind of statement.

The palins threatened to sue but did nothing to follow through on the threat, even though the publisher called their bluff.

If they had sued then everything in the book would have been open to public dissection in court....everything.

If (any) candidate were actually getting traction yet, I would agree with you. Palin would have already been out of potentially re-joining the contest.

Nobody is gaining traction. All that is happening, is all our people are complaining about all our other people. It’s a giant b@tch session.

Palin is once again, currently just as viable as the rest. She’s been bruised, but so has every other candidate. Nobody else however, has as large a potential enthusiastic pool of people who would reluctantly at first, then with momentum, gather to support her.

Another thing, remember we currently have a (lot) of candidates. This means the early primaries will likely be splitting delegates among several “winners”.

The early primaries, which Palin may miss due to filing deadlines, will be less important simply because the results will be diluted among more candidates.

She’ll be able to enter in time to be part of a (smaller) group of competitors, in primaries which will award the winner an ever-larger proportion of those delegates.

Palin can absolutely win this thing.

No question at all.

I have been and remain a Sarah Palin supporter and if she EVER decides to run I will enthusiastically vote for her...

Whether there will be enough like me, well, I doubt it.

Having said all that I think Sarah loves to pull the media's chain and that means keeping reporters and journ0lists guessing. She realizes they'll say whatever they want anyway so why not give them something to sink their stupid teeth into while she laughs at all the ink they then waste trying to figure out her words.

It's like Jack Link's "Messing with Sasquatch". Except Sasquatch is the driveby media.

Exactly how was the effort that palin had to have put into packaging another reality TV series and the pitching it around town (unsuccessfully) "FOR THE GOOD OF THE COUNTRY"?

You would be better served if you based your assessment of palin on what she actually chooses to put her energies into rather than what you want to believe.

Why a mistake? No one knows what has happened behind the scenes or what is up ahead, I’d say her and Todd know best about their own lives than anyone else. We got only a taste of it witnessing it for three years. All I know is she sought God and - His ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts - they are higher. And Christians know that. Anyone who has lived long enough surely has or knows someone who looked like they made the wrong choice in some decision and it turned out to be the best decision they every made. For HE knows the end from the beginning.

I have absolutely no idea if she will run or not and there is no way anyone can.
