Gallup numbers staying steady, with Newt in the lead!

Also today, Polls showing Newt leading in Virginia by Quinnipiac, and Iowa still anyone's game between Mitt/Newt/Paul.

Newt lead is steady and constant, or as the media and GOP Establishment report it: "Tanking."

Every debate he picks up steam. I’m surprised debates aren’t being cancelled.

The more they attack Newt and downplay his ability the more it makes me want him to win.

Personally I think the Republican’s want to lose the Presidency because there are too many that want to run in 2016...so they are putting up Romney a guaranteed loser. I have a friend that said he’d never vote for a Mormon even though Romney is pretty much his type of liberal Republican. But he would vote for Newt over Obama even though he doesn’t like Newt.

The thing that is driving him down in Iowa are the relentless negative tv commercials.

Of the three, Newt is the clear choice. Mitt is just not going to cut it. RonPaul is so wacky on foreign affairs, it is amazing he is sitting in the top three in Iowa. I like much of what he says, but the rest is a disqualifier. Plus, he’s a 75 year old shrunken up little man. Put his son in there and we can look at it differently.

Paul’s “colorful” past is starting to come out now that he is is the top tier, and I have learned quite a few things about him in the past couple days I didn’t know. I don’t see how he can compete with that kind of lunatic background. He’s running negative ads against Newt. Once someone starts with negative ads against him he will disappear. C’mon Michele, do something for your country.

Jesus' poll numbers were through the roof on Palm Sunday. A week later, not so much.

At this time four years ago, Rudy Giuliani was leading in the polls. We all know how that turned out.

Don’t trust the polls. Lots of Iowans don’t have their minds made up. Turnout will be another factor.

-—”Lots of Iowans don’t have their minds made up.”-—

That’s a very bad thing, because it means every lower-tier candidate is going to perform better than they were polling, and will thus claim momentum and carry on - working right into Romney’s hands.

What Michelle can do for her country is go away and stay away.

I can’t recall ever losing so much respect for a person in such a short time. Look at the YouTube vido of her lavishing Newt with prais 3 years ago and watch her acting as Myth’s lapdog now.

She sickens me.

Hank

Maybe she can attack Paul on her way out? Just a little?

Why are you obsessed with lying about the Gallup polls, which showed Newt destroying the field just two weeks ago, and now collapsed back into a statistical ties?

I like Newt. He’s got his flaws, but having lived in Massachusetts in the 1990s, I can never trust Romney. And Paul is a freaking lunatic. Meanwhile, Newt was the intellectual foundation of the Republican Revolution, destroyed by Armey, Delay, Hastert, Dole and Bush. That people call him a RINO drives me to pull my hair out.

But, for bad or good, he is in a terrible freefall, and lying about that helps no-one.

I completely agree. I had such hopes for her but her vitrolic tongue lashings against the other candidates make me want to turn the channel each time I see her face on T.V.

I know I didn’t go to Harvard like Obama or Romney, but my math tells me that the field only adds up 81. So 19% don’t want any of them. Which is good for 3rd place. That to me is the big news from this. There’s still room for someone else to get in, and there’s still enough dissatisfaction that anything could happen.

Also, I haven’t even announced my candidacy yet and I’m only 2 pts behind Huntsman. Not bad.

When she does FINALLY go out, she’ll have to be in a straightjacket. I am beginning to think the lady is mentally ill.

Maybe that should be Newt’s new strategy. He can run an ad showing all the etsbalishment backing Romney and then at the end he’ll say “Forgive them father, for they know not what they do. I’m Newt Gingrich, and I approved this message”
