Democratic leaders in the House and Senate on Friday appointed their negotiators to a conference committee on full-year extension of the payroll tax cut and unemployment benefits.

They had been waiting for House Republicans to pass a two-month extension of the payroll tax cut before returning to negotiations.

The appointees will try to deliver on the political leverage Democrats gained last week by forcing Republican concessions in the fight to extend the provisions for the rest of the year.

These GOP BASTARDS lied to the American voters and deserve
prison sentences after a ‘tar and feathering’.

Led by Reid, McConnell, and Boehner, the GOP BASTARDS
like Scott Brown have eagerly have become Democrat RINOs.

Fixed.

I have no faith the Republicans have the will to fight for anything.

What momentum? “We are being dragged kicking and screaming by the Republican Party and public opinion, we have momentum!” Partisan media shill ping. Thanks tobyhill.

It is all a scam. The funding for the payroll deduction and unemployment benefits, etc comes from a tax on mortgages. Based on this economist’s estimate, it will require almost 1 billion mortgage refis and new mortgage loans in two months. So, the tax cut really does come out of Social Security! McConnell and everyone should tell the truth ... for once.

From Zero Hedge.

The GOP is like demons built inside us and the only way we will get rid of the demons is for a full exorcism.

The Lame Stream Media is putting a happy face on the economy now trying to make Obama seem invincible and all this GOP compromising will get them nowhere except the minority again.

It’s simply sport to politicians, but to us it’s an ongoing hazing.

Momentum is what you get when you do something that is smart, and then continue doing it. It is not what you get when your opponents do something that is dumb. Not even the most partisan media (I know, that's redundant) consider the two month extension of a tax cut to be smart.
