Talk about fairweather friends. Iowa state Sen. Kent Sorenson (R), who was Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann’s state campaign chairman, endorsed Texas Rep. Ron Paul Wednesday night.
At a rally in Des Moines, Sorenson told the crowd, “We’re going to take Ron Paul all the way to the White House.”
He did not tell Bachmann of his decision until he was en route to the Paul rally, billed as an event for veterans.
“This is hard,” he said of his decision to leave Bachmann, explaining that he felt obligated to defend Paul against the Republican establishment. He elaborated in a statement, saying he felt Paul was the most conservative candidate who had a realistic shot at defeating former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney.

In a follow-up interview, Sorenson categorically denied having received any offer of compensation by Paul's campaign.
Listen, that's absurd. Like I said before, people on this campaign supported me in my race. They worked tirelessly for me. They stuffed envelopes, they door knocked for me," he said. "I feel like I'm coming home to them.
I don’t know about ya’ll but I can’t have much respect for a move like this.

I liked Kent but now taking another look. Gave him a few bucks too. He won a tough race.
romney’s last chance. He’s spreading the money. Have to give him credit, his group is at least as nasty as zero’s. Integrity hasn’t taken a back seat to our electoral process, its gone back to the Roman Republic. We’ve de-evolutionized 2000 yrs in 8.

Well I took my wife to the White House but that doesn’t mean she is the President. And being taken there as a visitor is as far as that bag of mixed nuts Ron Paul will ever get.....
I’m not part of the “Republican establishment,” and there is absolutely NO way that I will ever vote for Ron Paul. I’d seriously consider voting for President Obama if Ron Paul is the Republican nominee (and it pains me no end to write that). Ron Paul, in my opinion, is that bad. A Ron Paul presidency would be like jumping out of the frying pan into the fire. ANY of the Republican candidates, including Romney, would be better than Paul.

That’s my assessment, too. It doesn’t surprise me one bit. After all, he left the Bachmann campaign to back Ron Paul. That pretty much says all I need to know about his character.
If RuPaul somehow gets the GOP nomination, I will vote third party.
