I am relieved to read this story is from Israel.
I expected it to be from America.
Terrifying how far we have fallen, and how fast.

Many years ago I recall a court case in one of the Scandinavian countries where a woman was found guilty of giving her son the "weird" or unacceptable name of Christophpher (yes, that's how she spelled it).
I kid you now, however, I went to grade school with a retarded girl named Pigg. Her ridiculous parents named her . . . Ima.

If there were any Amerindians here, this law would be discriminatory and anti-native culture. How dare they outlaw the time-honored name of Horse Snort?

Whats wrong with the name Spatula? Nothing, if you live here.

This could explain why I've never met, or heard of a German, or Austrian with the sur name Hitler.

My folks named me Elvis. Turns out so did the mother ofn some guy who, back in the fifties was some sort of singer. I guess it could have been worse. I could have been named the Big Bopper.

That video is hilarious! The kids have a good sense of humor.

“Rush used to us that as a commercial filler during his early years.”
He still does, if you listen online through his website. “We sell spatulas, and that’s all!”

What about Ketchup? I was thinking of her, and her little, curled pinky finger. So yeah, I'm sorta like that other guy. But I got over it for the most part.
She still hasn't written back.
Calling myself myself "Jo-jo PotaH-to" probably didn't help...

I may be wrong, but, the post-war laws that prohibit the display of Nazi symbols (the swastika, etc.), or doing the “sieg Heil!” salute, may well prohibit naming kids after famous Nazi’s too...
I heard that Hitler’s Hitler relatives ALL changed their surnames...pretty well voluntarily (understandably), immediately after the war.
