Candidates join Perry's Virginia lawsuit

Kevin Liptak

(CNN) - Four candidates left off the Virginia Republican primary ballot joined Rick Perry Saturday in suing the state's board of elections over laws they say are "unconstitutional."

Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman and former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum joined the lawsuit, originally filed Tuesday, challenging provisions that determine who can appear on the primary ballot.

All five candidates filing the lawsuit failed to qualify for the ballot.

An obvious move for the other disenfranchised candidates.

Just like the hokey write in statement, you cannot join in on a law suit on Saturday, the court house is not open, and it would require a hearing anyway. And noot has no standing since he has admitted fraud.

“It’s not fair if they don’t follow the rules. The rules are always fair. They knew the rules before they started. It’s state law. All laws are perfect and unchallengeable. What are we, Dems now who sue when we don’t like the rules? ...blah blah blah ...”

The facts are the facts, I am not into the no keeping scores at ball games crowd and everyone is a winner. The number of names requires is about one half of one percent of the population. Mr generic could have gotten on the ballot.

The facts are the facts.

That's right, it's not about the rules, it's about the law.

New Hope for Republicans Left Off Virginia Ballot --- "DES MOINES — Virginia’s attorney general said on Saturday that he will propose emergency legislation to change the state’s ballot access laws in ways that would make it easier for candidates to qualify.

The legislation would allow any presidential candidate to appear on the ballot for the state’s March 6 primary if they meet the requirements to qualify for federal matching funds.

That would likely allow Newt Gingrich and Rick Perry to participate in the primary after both failed to gather the required signatures under Virginia’s current standards.

“Recent events have underscored that our system is deficient. Virginia owes her citizens a better process,” said Kenneth T. Cuccinelli II, the attorney general and a Republican, in a statement “We can do it in time for the March primary if we resolve to do so quickly.”......

“Yes Virginia...there IS a Constitution...”

Could you please specify exactly which part of the Constitution is being violated by the actions of Virginia and the Virginia Republican Party?

And noot has no standing since he has admitted fraud.

Wait just a minute. It's not Newt's fault that he hired a Democrat to collect signatures inside the Beltway. Oh wait, maybe it is his fault.
