Yup, just as superfluous as his silly presidential candidacy.

It is superfluous. This is what Congress is wasting its time on instead of finding out where Corzine stashed the MF Global money?

Many RP fans hate religion with a passion. Check any libertarian sites.

I'll be in Confession all weekend for what I'm thinking of RP and doing Penance in the Parish for the next year for it.

"Many RP fans hate religion with a passion." Isn't that funny? So many christian fundamentalists support him. My daughter's in-laws live and breath Ron Paul. I've had to talk her off the ledge a couple of times.
To: sagar
You think that given $15T in debt, $1.5T in deficits, huge structural problems with medicare, medicaid, and social security..... that THIS is the most meaningful thing Congress could do?

Yeah ... kinda "really" stupid, actually ... Dr. Winkie is a real leader ...
Yep ... Dr. Winkie (a legendary Libertarian) often reminds me of that George Washington guy ...
You know, the one kneeling in the frozen, desolate winter snow at Valley Forge ... asking ... oops ...
PRAYING ... for some kind of, let me see, "divine guidance" ...
as his pitiful army was on the verge of abandoning the American Revolution ...
a PRAYER THAYT WAS ANSWERED WITH VICTORY ... "Moron" ...
And then there's the Battle of Midway (1942) ... when an outnumbered and out gunned U.S. Navy "quite miraculously" sunk FOUR Jap aircraft carriers ...
And then ... ahem ... the Battle of the Bulge ... when the U.S. Army was getting the shit kicked out of them ... by superior German forces and tactics ...
when that General Patton guy ... submitted to The Almighty his famous "weather prayer" ... whose glorious blue skies allowed Allied air strikes to save the Infantry's asses ...
Sometimes ... like Newt Gingrich ... I just get REALLY PISSED-OFF at the DARWINIAN IGNORANCE that you "Heads-Up-Your-Rear" Libertarians exhibit ...
Honestly ... "almost" as Billy Grahman and Mother Teresa would say ... You Libertarians are more full of "shiite" than a Christmas Turkey ... with your (very fashionable) anti-religious Bravo Sierra ... (Obama Droppings) ...
.

I’m waiting for congress to take up the discussion on whether we should be allowed to use 2ply or single sheet toilet paper.

when that General Patton guy ... submitted to The Almighty his famous "weather prayer" ... whose glorious blue skies allowed Allied air strikes to save the Infantry's asses ... Yes, but imagine the expense, printing and distributing 250,000 copies.
What's next, Ike printing a communication extolling a Great Crusade.
We have to get into the Ron Paul mindset.
Or not, my choice.

Or what kind of light bulbs we should be using. Oh... wait....

We can be a country unto our self. If we leave them alone, they'll leave us alone. Let's just play nice. Doncha know?

Don’t flush that toilet 4 times.
To: mnehring
The sad thing is that, per the Fox News entrance polling, Paul is first choice for Iowa Tea Party members. People need to know everything about this whack job.
Santorum comes in 2nd; I can live with him.
To: Patton@Bastogne
Your examples are very compelling... and totally irrelevant to this discussion. These were examples of fervent prayers from believers in the face of a specific calamity. The “In God We Trust” vote was nothing similar. It wasn’t a prayer to a merciful God to intercede on behalf of a grateful nation. It was politicians trying to score political points.
To: Past Your Eyes
Hard to believe this a-hole could stand a chance of winning in Iowa.

I heard an ABC radio news reporter saying that 30% were going for Paul in Iowa because they were looking for “a true conservative”!
