At any rate, a "STOP ROMNEY" loose coalition behind closed doors within the forces of the GOP grassroots, Tea Partiers, Christian Conservatives, Milton Friedmanites, etc. etc., bringing together all friendlies, must begin in EARNEST, even if at the end of the day we are competitors. It could be held at a Dennys' somewhere in Manchester, or in somebody's home.

Job number ONE is to sideline this guy from Taxachusetts, and really put a sharp pebble in his boot for next Tuesday, causing him to limp all the way down to South Carolina where they wont put up with that RINO sh*t, flip flop or no flip flop.

I didn't see Newt getting angry in the video. If that's angry the man has good self control. Let's face it though, Greta was pushing him to go negative, even as she may be a supporter(?).

I'm not as interested in Newton beating Romney as I'm interested in him taking down Obama. He can beat Romney by working at beating Obama, like 75% or more of the face time he gets. He got were he is because he came out swinging -- at the Zero's nose, not at jabs beneath Romney's waistline.

Like the appointment of Grant by Lincoln -- I like Newt because he fights. (To bad I'm not Lincoln)

We don't need Mittens so wounded that even if he were to win the nomination, he would lose the general election, but then again if Mittens wins, we all lose the general election anyway, because he will not be able to beat even a weakened Obama, in my opinion.

Oh, I agree.

Anything to insure that Willard is DOA before and after losing SC & FL this month.

I do think NH’s open primary (with Dems and Libs galore voting) will go something like this:

1. Willard 29%
2. Paul 27%
3. Newt 17%
4. Santorum 15%
5. Huntsman 12% (Jon Jr drops out)
6. Perry 1%

Then SC & FL Closed Primaries:

1. Newt 37% & 35%
2. Santorum 22% & 19%
3. Willard 21% & 25%
4. Paul 6% & 7%
5. Perry 5% & 4%

Democrats are pulling their government provided La-Z-Boys closer to the TV, laughing, Hi-Fiving and munching on government popcorn.

I find myself agreeing with those comments, particularly the last line.

Right now what I am hoping is as the rest of this contest unfolds is that political spectrum of our national conversation is push further to the right and the ideas of lower taxes, less government regulation, ending Obamacare, capitalism and free market unfettered, ending all these subsides to global warming rip off initiatives and that those involved in Climate Gate rip off scam are brought to justice, get the government out of and banking, housing, and car industries, protecting Isreal our true allie in the war on terror, strong defense policy, that socialism is what cause the problem, etc... and these end up being the talking points as we go into 2012.

I agree. Contingent on our nominee being a person who can relate to these issues in a sound manner, we’ll get exactly that.

Add in immigration, and I’m on board.

Note that we have seen the candidates address or not these issues to our satisfaction, and it narrows the field considerably.

I watched the entire video. Calling Newt “angry” is a stretch. The man is poised and contained.

I think it’s good that he is getting this moniker from people, perhaps like yourself, that like REagan he’s out of control. Everyone is expecting him to go personal against Romney. He won’t. He will stick to the issues and the contrasts between the two men.

And the people will see that he is not a nut case hot head.

You know something? I think you might be right. I surely hope so. I don’t think Paul will get that much of the vote, but NH like Iowa really means nothing in the grand scheme of things. It’s SC and FL. It really is.

Look, if someone like me, who NEVER or almost NEVER is ready to donate money to Newt then there must be millions of people like me across party lines willing to do the same.

If you listen to Newt, you will agree with him.

Wow!I stopped watching Fox a long time ago but this was the best interview I've seen in a long time anywhere.
Isn't amazing that this is true simply because the interviewer allowed the subject to speak without interruption and asked intelligent questions?
Anyway kudos to Greta.

If Newt can get THIS message out he will be unstoppable.

"Go NEWT!"

Newt told Hannity yesterday that he will "enjoy" these next two weeks watching the NH race. :)

Here's an interesting tid-bit from RedState (Erick Erickson - a Perry supporter):

"This Won’t Play Well In South Carolina

"Rick Santorum has some pent up issues with Jim DeMint.

"Just a few weeks before DeMint stood for re-election on South Carolina’s ballot, Rick Santorum showed up in DeMint’s neighborood to tell everyone Jim DeMint was wrong on earmarks. “Former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania said the Constitution gives Congress control of the purse strings and that he supported earmarks for port deepening while a senator – the opposite of the position that DeMint is taking.

"But former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich of Georgia said DeMint has shown “moral courage” in refusing to support any earmarks, including one that the State Ports Authority says is needed to study the deepening of Charleston Harbor.”

"Santorum went on John King USA on CNN tonight and again defended earmarks claiming “Jim DeMint did it too” without acknowledging DeMint repented and has since led the fight against earmarks. [....]

"It’s not just Rick Santorum knocking Jim DeMint (!!!) when not hiding behind DeMint to claim tea party bona fides, Santorum is also going to have trouble in South Carolina because of his voting record. He opposed National Right to Work legislation."

<>

Another tid-bit to consider:

I heard on Fox & Friends this morning that Ron Paul plans to only focus on the states that run caucuses.

NOTE: Besides Iowa, the following states run Caucuses: Colorado, Washington, Maine, Idaho, Minnesota, Nevada, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, North Dakota, Alaska, and Hawaii.

Per Business Insider yesterday:

"[Ron] Paul's massive organizational push in Iowa focused on both winning votes, and also on making sure that Paul supporters stuck around after the vote to make sure they were selected as county delegates — the first step towards being elected as a delegate to the Republican National Convention.

"That's because Iowa's Republican caucuses are non-binding — they are technically just a straw poll, so once selected, delegates are free to vote for whichever presidential candidate they choose.

"Part of what we've been training the Ron Paul people to do is not to leave after the vote," Dan Godzich, a senior campaign advisor, told BI. "Stay and get elected to the conventions and get us those delegates. ...."

January 3, 2012 by Kevin DuJan (HillBuzz):

What It’s Like to Attend A Caucus In Iowa

[....huge snip....]

"...As long as I live, I will never forget what I witnessed on January 3rd, 2008. I am still horrified that Caucuses are allowed to exist and that voters are disenfranchised and intimidated like this in the United States.

"I honestly and truly hope that Ron Paul wins every single Caucus this year and I hope that Ron Paul’s most obsessive and vocal supporters are out in force at every Caucus location behaving as badly as the Obama operatives did in 2008. In 2012, more people will have cell phones on them with video cameras and hopefully the horrible behavior of Caucus-goers will be documented and put on display via YouTube so that every state conducting a Caucus will be embarrassed. The Caucus system is an unfunny and horrifying joke.

"After what happened in 2008, filmmaker Gigi Gaston put together the documentary “We Will Not Be Silenced 2008 to document what the Obama campaign did to game the Caucus system and intimidate voters four years ago. The agenda-driven media aggressively covered the Caucus abuses up, because they were in full-court Obama defense mode. Since the media hates Ron Paul so much, I hope in 2012 they will decide to cover the shenanigans that will no doubt occur during the Caucuses he participates in so that more people can see just how terrible Caucuses are. [........]"

I find ironic since Mormons are pretty conservative that the 2 biggest RINOs in the race (Hunstman is even WORSE in my opinion) are Mormons .

Huntsman though is serving a useful purpose, talking votes from Romney in NH.
