Yes, it was Opie and Anthony. Same show that this video is from.

He actually walked out about a year ago, not because of the Iraq War, but because of challenges to his truther ideology (as I remember it, anyway). O&A have a third host, a comic named Jim Norton, who really got under his skin. It was hilarious and showed Ventura to be the bully he is.

Jesse was never in Combat

I was deployed to an area where we got the Expeditionary medal, an area of imminent combat, but no one ever shot at me

one site said he was deployed to Vietnam but didn’t earn the Combat Action Ribbob, so that means he was there but didn’t get shot at

same same

Ventura claims to be a SEAL but he is also a psychopath. If he got a punch in the nose he pretty sure deserved it and more.

You ever notice the last ones to brag about being SEALs are real SEALs...

That's true about a lot of things in life...especially since the onset of the internet. You need to keep your skepticism index turned up high.

I saw the clip you reference months ago. The comic was Jim Norton, frequent guest on Red Eye (he was telling the group on there about it shortly afterward - hilarious!)

. . . since he is the only one in the room who has seen combat . . .

Actually, not true. Ventura did not see combat in Vietnam.

The whole story is bogus:

http://www.prisonplanet.com/exclusive-jesse-ventura-blasts-navy-seal-punch-hoax.html
Following claims made by US Navy SEAL Chris Kyle that he punched Jesse Ventura for badmouthing US troops during a wake for a slain soldier in Coronado, California, Ventura has denounced the story as an outrageous lie, asserting that the event never happened. ....

Read Jesse Ventura’s Facebook statement below.

http://www.facebook.com/OfficialJesseVentura
The event this man spoke of never happened. I have been to Mc P’s many times since leaving the Navy. I was never there alone. I was always accompanied by other people. If this happened 6 years ago, someone would have known of it before now. Certainly in the UDT/SEAL community it would have been known. This has to be news to all of us.

I have always opposed the war in Iraq but I have never spoken or wished any ill will towards the soldiers. My heart aches that soldiers have died or been wounded because this war should never have taken place. I am perplexed over the agenda this man has and why a fellow Navy Seal would tell a lie about an event that never happened. ...

Jesse also says the World Trade Center was brought down by explosives and thermite paint. I’ll need more proof than his word on the event.

I'm not a fan of Ventura, but even I can admit that O&A are being complete troublemakers here. They don't even question Chris Kyles story, they just accept it like it's gospel, because they already hate ventura. Either way... if Chris Kyle punched Ventura, than he's guilty of physical assault against a senior citizen. If he didn't, than he's guilty of slander.

Sorry, but Ventura’s word is not sufficient evidence the incident didn’t happen. Ventura is a media whore in my opinion, and I wouldn’t trust his word as far as I could throw him.

I absolutely agree.

Sorry, but Ventura’s word is not sufficient evidence the incident didn’t happen.

We don't need evidence that the incident didn't happen

If Chris in fact punched him in a public place years ago, there would be witnesses, media reports, charges filed and J. Ventura's mug all over TV at the time.

We need evidence that it DID happen.

Chris did a fine job at what he was trained to do, but that doesn't make him infallible.

His story does not fly in my book.

Good description of how I feel about this whole story.

Given Ventura’s proclivity to embellish and lie about his own military service, under what basis would you need evidence that the incident did happen? Despite happening in public, given the nature of that public venue, it’s not likely that patrons in that bar would come forward and “rat” on a SEAL knowing that he’d be arrested and charged with assault and battery. Ventura, on the other hand, wouldn’t want it known that he was shooting off his loud mouth and got coldcocked for it.

The only evidence we have that nothing of the sort occured is JV's word.

The evidence that it did occur is Chris' word.

It's a he said - he said situation.

My basis is that experience shows that if a former governor is cold cocked in a public setting, police are called (Chris' story) and a police report is made, we would know about it and would have known in 2006.

To be honest, when I watched the interview I thought Chris looked like a 10 year old that was caught in a white lie and could not back out of it.

I can imagine sometime in the last six years Chris telling this story to a buddy or patron in a bar somewhere and forgetting about it.

I can also imagine this third person passing the story on to the interviewer who then cornered Chris in the interview.

In other words, I don't believe Chris and have written this off as another of those quirky news bits one hears and is quickly forgotten.

There is no objective evidence whatsoever that this ever happened.

If Ventura refused to file a complaint, and there were no witnesses that were willing to stand up and write out a witness statement, there would be no police report, and this would not have made the news, regardless of who Ventura use to be. Considering that this SEAL shared this event on a radio show, it’s not likely that it was simply a brag made to a buddy in a bar after several drinks. We probably will NEVER know whether this incident did or did not happen.
