Starts off with Jack rappelling down from a Helicopter into a compound outside of Islamabad...by himself!
Honestly, can’t wait for this.

I just finished watching all of 24 on Netflix.
I don’t think I could have been one of those saps that had to wait every week to watch it and wait for the following season. It would have killed me.
I have to say 24 was one of the best shows on television, ever.
Some of the subplots were stupid, but Jack Bauer was probably one of the best written male characters in the history of television.

YES. That was a great show. Hope that they do politically incorrect things like make Muslims the villains.
(I know that the vast majority of Muslims are peace loving and really dislike terrorists and Al Qaeda and that it is REALLY a stretch to make them out to be our enemies or anything like that. Just kidding.)
We wanted to see a movie on Friday night at the last minute. When we showed up at the theater, hadn’t decided. War Horse and Mission Impossible were on at the same time. So, I asked the ticket booth guy which is better. He said Mission Impossible.
It was a great suggestion. The new Mission Impossible is great entertainment from start to finish. Really good acting and the it evokes the “team work” of the television show. Well done.
A “24” film sounds fantastic to me.

I can hardly wait. I hope it’s vintage Jack. It seems a lifetime ago.

I miss 24 a bunch. Will be good to see Jack again.
Meantime there's the new Fox show Touch starring Kiefer Sutherland premiering January 25, not a Jack Bauer clone.

I wasn't a Kiefer Sutherland fan until I watched 24. I am now.

I just finished watching all of 24 on Netflix.
I watched most of the seasons the same kind of way. Did you notice that the show always followed the same basic pattern every season? For example, there would be some initial threat neutralized by the CTU guys, only to find that there was an even bigger threat behind it. There was always a mole in CTU. Jack Bauer would catch somebody who would be a key to unraveling the whole threat, but before he could interrogate him, someone (usually someone within CTU) with a grudge against that key guy would kill him. Etc etc. The patterns become more obvious when you watch the seasons one after another.

Didn’t he already make a “24” inspired movie with Michael Douglas a few years back?

Very cool.
What are they going to call it? “2”?
To: Recovering_Democrat
Thank you for responding. I haven’t done much research on it, so I don’t yet know enough to ask questions. I think I will call the folks tomorrow.
